We have the pleased to announce one more edition of the University Film Festival in Puebla, which aims to promote local, national and international university cinema.
OBJECTIVES
Exhibit and publicize the most outstanding proposals of university cinema.
Encourage film production in a professional manner within the university community.
Offer a meeting and exchange between young university filmmakers, experts in the film industry and audience.
CATEGORIES
The program will consist of four competitive international categories. In each category may be granted one or more special mentions, but it will be considered only one winner.
Fiction Short Film
Animation Short Film
Documentary Short Film
Project New Forms and Formats
The Exhibition UniFilmFest is a non-competitive selection for each category.
Two additional awards will be given, taking the place of production, being able to obtain a single project both and/or win a category if applicable.
Best Mexican Short Film
Best Puebla Short Film
The participation of short films and projects in either competitive, non-competitive and Mexican and Puebla awards, will be considerate to Selection Committee of University Film Festival.
PRIZES
It is awarded to the winner of each category and Mexican and Puebla awards and a representative figurine University Film Festival in Puebla, and recognition to the special mentions they could have.
The directors of the films, regardless of their nationality, must follow a course of undergraduate or graduate in any institution in the country or abroad, or have more than four years of graduates (verifiable), with any finished project feature film or television series as writers or directors in their personal filmographies.
The production date for competitive categories will be considered from 2015 until the end of this call.
As for the exhibition UniFilmFest (non-competitive) no restrictions on the production year, in both cases provided that the first point of this regulation is respected.
The duration of the project will be up to 30 minutes (with credits).
There will be no restriction on the number of projects registered by a participant.
Registered projects could have been participated at national or international film festivals, without being made available in any online platform.
The theme of all categories is free.
Selection Committee of University Film Festival will be free to change the registered materials to a more suitable category, if it considers it.
In the specific case of the category New Forms and Formats can be considered experimental projects, video art, web series pilot, mobile devices projects and all types of audiovisual project by university students out of the other categories. The specific purpose of this category is to know and disseminate what they produce students with the flexibility and possibilities, technical and narrative, of the audiovisual nowadays.
The films and projects not spoken in Spanish must be subtitled in that language.
When registered and selected a project, exhibition and competition, it can not be removed from the official program of University Film Festival 2016.
When an audiovisual work has been registered, the director authorizes the University Film Festival for exhibition it during the festival and it could be included in promocionales and other non profit film exhibitions.
The directors of the registered projects should be responsible for the authorship of their work and assuming that the short film or project must be unpublished or have duties owed. If there is any violation will result to descalificación thereof. If there is a problem with regard to the authorship of the registered projects, even screened, the University Film Festival disclaims any responsibility.
Any particular not specified in this notice will be resolved by the Selection Committee of the University Film Festival.

EVALUATION
Contest projects will be viewed and judged by a jury of personalities from the field of cinema.
The latter's decision will be final.
PROGRAMMING
Organizing Committee of the University Film Festival Puebla will release the order and dates of the selected audiovisual projects.
