Through the magic of films, Pokhara International Mountain Film Festival hopes to educate and inform locals about the changes and developments in various fields in regards to mountain communities from around the world as well as Nepal. The festival hopes to inspire the members of the communities to come together and work hand in hand for the betterment of their environment. It hopes to force people to reflect back on their shortcomings as a society in preservation of their culture and promises to amend them. The Festival wish to be one of the place where they can discover different avenues to create a better future for themselves and the world. We hope this festival will be able to promote peace and harmony while keeping the participants wholly entertained.

Documentaries, shorts, features and experimental films that deals with the subjects of environment, indigenous people, mountain culture, extreme sports, mountaineering and all other issues related to mountains and the communities around it produced between 2014 and 2016.
