The Fuerteventura LGTBI+ Film Festival was born 20 years ago, promoted by ALTIHAY Fuerteventura in 2002, as a cultural tool to raise awareness among the population of Fuerteventura about respect and to help combat the discrimination and stigma suffered by LGTBI+ people. in their environment, insisting on the need for a more inclusive and diverse society. We invite you this 2022 to be part of our 20 years of history and resistance!

Prize for the best short film: €500 (advance of exhibition rights) | Prize for the best didactic short film: €500 (Advance payment of exhibition rights)

1. The plot of the short films must revolve around the following themes: PRIDE, RIGHTS AND LGTBI+ MEMORY.

2. Short films made expressly for this contest can be submitted, such as short films made between January 2021 and 2022, as long as they are NOT advertising campaigns or institutional materials.

3. The short films presented must have a minimum duration of one minute (1 min) and a maximum of twelve minutes (12 min + credits included).

4. People over 18 years of any nationality can participate.

5. The short films presented can be in any language, as long as they include subtitles in Spanish (embedded in the image or in a .srt file).

6. Dates:
- Opening of the call: 22/22/2022
- Reception limit: 11/30/2022 at 23:59 p.m.
- Projection and awards ceremony: December 2022

7. Registration to participate in this contest is free (Activity subsidized by the Ministry of Culture of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura).

8. The short films can be recorded with all kinds of devices, as long as they meet the requirements mentioned below.

3. Originality, argument or aesthetics
4. Training or didactic potential

10. Once compliance with the rules has been verified, the short films will be evaluated by an Official Jury made up of professionals from the audiovisual sector and LGTBI+ activists. The Official Jury will make a selection of 2 short films, which will receive an economic prize and will be screened within the XX FUERTEVENTURA LGTBI+ FILM EXHIBITION, at the Insular Auditorium of Puerto del Rosario.

11. The following prizes are established:
- Prize for the best short film: €500 (advance of exhibition rights)
- Prize for the best didactic short film: €500 (advance of exhibition rights)

12. The contestants are responsible for the rights of the short films presented, and must sign a responsible statement to that effect. In any case, ALTIHAY Fuerteventura will NOT be responsible for any infraction derived from the misuse of image, author, exhibition or exploitation rights of the participating short films.

13. The fact of taking part in this contest implies full acceptance of these rules, including authorization to show the winning short films within the programming of the XX FUERTEVENTURA LGTBI+ FILM SHOW 2022. In the event that ALTIHAY Fuerteventura If you are interested in projecting any of the awarded or non-awarded short films in future activities of the entity, we will contact the authors to manage the corresponding exhibition rights and in no case will they be transferred to third parties. For this reason, after registration, we will send you a data protection document that allows us to save the details of each production and its authors in our databases.

14. The authors of the winning short films of the XX FUERTEVENTURA LGTBI+ FILM SHOW 2022 authorize ALTIHAY FUERTEVENTURA to disseminate information about the winning short films, as well as photographs of the poster of the same and its authors.

15. OTHER LEGAL ISSUES. Given its social commitment to the defense of the rights of LGTBI+ people, ALTIHAY FUERTEVENTURA reserves the right NOT to admit to the contest those short films that include abusive or pornographic content, that incites or promotes LGTBIphobia or any form of discrimination, that violates human dignity or the due protection of children. Those short films that include violent scenes must be justified within the respect and agreement with the theme.

OF THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE BASES

16. Participation in the contest implies full acceptance of these rules and conditions of the XX LGTBI+ FILM SAMPLE OF FUERTEVENTURA 2022.

17. Upload the short film in high quality, in HD1080 format, file type .mov or .mp4 and H264 compression.

18. For the purposes of article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, on the protection of personal data, you are informed that all personal data collected during the performance of this contest will be included in an automated data file of ALTIHAY FUERTEVENTURA and CINEMATECA PEDRO ZEROLO (CIF G88193206). Both undertake in the use of the data included in the file to respect its confidentiality and to use them in accordance with the purpose of the file. Data will not be transferred to third parties except legal obligation.
