BUDAFEST is a Budapest film festival dedicated to the glocal culture. 2016 is the first edition. It will be the feast of the brotherwood of two people and of two movie worlds: the Italian and the Hungarian.

We will connect the world with Budapest and Budapest with the world: we have the Magyar section and the international one. We have also a special section dedicated to very fast movies, maximum 3 minutes. This section, called BUDAFAST is a contest, the "Easy Ticket" to the global market for young filmmakers, with no other limit of age and nationality but a fresh, immediate vision of the world & a new way to shoot it. Participation is easy, register is easy. A very short duration of minimum 30 "seconds and maximum 3 minutes in a Ground-level sequence with a mobile phones, a tablets, a digicamera... Upload & send it !

10) Award for best Short movie Actor or Actress.
11) The Award for best Very Short Movie (see Budafast) is a collective tutorized movie.

All submitted movies must be subtitled in English or in Italian (also if they are in English language or they are Hungarian). We can receive movies with Spanish or French subtitles, too.

If a movie, of any nationality but Italian is not ready with subtitles, send us the movie with the list of dialogue in English or in Italian.
All selected movies in competition must be undertitled in English.

There are three Festival Sections:

1) Official Selection: Feature & Short Films;
2) Magyar Films: feature & short films;
3) BUDAFAST, a very speedy film contest (from 30 seconds to 3 minutes maximum): the ultimate road map to movie industry.
BUDAFAST is a contest. Best movies will be selected (maximum 100). Their filmmakers will get a sequence of an original and professional script to make all together, a collective movie with a tutor. Shooting will enjoy this Distance tutoring and this movie will be presented at the Budafast 2017 edition, Then this movie will be promoted, distributed in VOD and launched on 2017.
