19º Baixada Animada - Festival Ibero-americano De Cinema De Animação (19)

One of the main events dedicated to the promotion of contemporary production of Ibero-American animation cinema reaches its 18th edition punctuated with attractions, in addition to the already traditional parade of the main animated productions in Portuguese and Spanish.

The winners in the categories:

Best Brazilian Short Film and Best International Short Film will receive an Award Certificate.

There will be no cash prizes.

A – Entries will be accepted for animated short films, with a maximum duration of 25 minutes, produced in Brazil, Portugal, Spain and Spanish-American countries, starting in 2025;

B - Each participant may submit as many works as they wish;

C - The official language of the Baixada Animada Festival is Brazilian Portuguese. For subtitling purposes, when registering films produced in other languages, the participant must provide a text file with time-code (.srt) in Spanish, english or Portuguese containing the dialogues, narration and music relevant to the understanding of the work. The Festival will subtitle all foreign language films in Brazilian Portuguese based on the list of dialogues, with time-code, provided at the time of registration by the participant.

D – The list of selected short films will be announced by September 24, 2026 through our social media channels. All selected films will receive a certificate of participation.

E - The curators of the Mostra will be responsible for indicating the works that will compete in each category. During the curatorship, a maximum of 10 Brazilian films and 10 foreign films will be pre-selected to compete in the following categories: Best Brazilian Short Film and Best International Short Film.

F - Under no circumstances will fees or taxes be paid for the exhibition rights of the selected or invited films.

G - The registered filmmakers grant BENGUELA Produções e Eventos Culturais Ltda the right – free of charge – to exhibit and publicize images of the film (photos and fragments of up to 30 seconds), at any time and without any limit, without any compensation to the participants.

H - The participant is responsible for the use of images and music from third parties in their films, in addition to any conflict arising from copyright infringement.

I - The registration of the work indicates full acceptance of these rules by the person responsible for it.
