CALL FOR ENTRIES WILL BEGIN DECEMBER 19, 2013 AND WILL END JULY 31, 2014*
ENTRY FEES
There is a $25.00 USD entry fee to the Broadway International Film Festival Los Angeles© 2014 for
a Short Film and $50.00 USD entry fee for a Full Length Feature Film.
RULES
• Short Film must be 30 minutes maximum.
• All films will be screened before the festival. BIFFLA© reserves its right to admit a film to the
festival. Films accepted to the festival will be posted on the festival website (biff-la.com) by
September 2013.
• Only full, final versions of the films received before the deadline will be accepted.
• Multiple films on one tape will be accepted. However, one complete application packet per
film should be submitted.
• Only films in DVD NTSC format will be admitted.
• Films will not be returned unless specifically requested by the filmmaker/production
company. The cost of returning the film will be at the sender’s expense.
• Broadway International Film Festival Los Angeles© reserves its right to use submitted films
or part of these films for the festival’s promotional activities*, unless prohibited due to:
o The film’s production company’s policies on the use of film (in part or its entirety) or
Copyrights*. And when the bottom part of the application form (page 4 of 4,) has
been completed.
• Feature-length films will not be entered in the festival’s competition. However, special
awards may be given.
SUBMISSION PACKETS
All entry packets must include the following:
1. Film’s DVD NTSC clearly labeled with its title, director, and exact running time (in
minutes and seconds)
2. Trailer MP4/H264 o DVD NTSC format
3. Completed and signed BIFFLA film submission application form (pages three and
four of this packet)
4. A 35-50-word summary of the film’s story line (to be used on the festival’s program.)
5. A 35-50-word summary of the film’s director/producer (to be used in the festival’s
award ceremony.)
FILM CATEGORIES:
The following film categories will be accepted:
• Animation • Animated Comedy • Documentary
• Horror • Avant-Garde • Music Video
• Comedy • Drama
* Films by student filmmakers will be judged separately from those submitted by amateurs or professional filmmakers.
* Film submissions post-marked or received after July 31, 2013 will be accepted as needed basis and may not appear in the official
program.
