The Mancomunidad de municipios de Sierra Morena de Sevilla announces and organizes the I International Film Festival of Nature, Ecology and Environment Sierra Morena de Sevilla. The main objective of this Festival is to promote, spread and disseminate the audiovisual productions in order to raise awareness on the state and environment of living beings, our environment and our planet.

Official Selection - Documentaries:
1st PRIZE: 1400 € AND STATUETTE
2nd PRIZE: 700 € AND STATUETTE

Official Selection – Short films:
1st PRIZE: 1000 € AND STATUETTE
2nd PRIZE: 500 € AND STATUETTE

Selection “Sierra Morena de Sevilla”:
1st PRIZE: 300€ AND STATUETTE

1.- Participation.


Any physical person over the age of 18 can participate, and the films presented must deal with the topics of environment, sustainability, rural, climate change, nature, ecology, preservation of our environment, recycling, etc.


2.- Selection.


IMPORTANT. IT IS COMPULSORY TO subtitle IN SPANISH CASTILLIAN ALL THOSE WORKS FILMED IN A language DIFFERENT TO SPANISH CASTILLIAN.
Official Selection - Documentaries: Competitive section for documentaries longer than 40 minutes produced from 1st January 2015.

Official Selection - Short films: Competitive section for short films (documentary, fiction and animation) of less than 30 minutes (including credit titles) produced from 1st January 2015.
Selection “Sierra Morena de Sevilla:” Competitive section of educational short films aimed at educational centres in the Sierra Morena of Seville, no longer than 10 minutes.


3.- Registration and Selection.


Registration will be free.

IMPORTANT. IT IS OBLIGATORY TO subtitle IN SPANISH CASTILLIAN ALL THE WORKS IF THEY ARE FILMED IN A language OTHER THAN SPANISH.

The dates to register the works will be from 21st February 2020 to 8th April 2020. The Festival will communicate the results through email to those selected and will be published on the Festival website www.cinemafestival.org.

Registration can be made through the platform www.festhome.com and by post or courier in USB, DVD or BLURAY to the address: Mancomunidad de Municipios Sierra Morena de Sevilla, Carretera de el Pedroso. Edificio de los escolares PL-1, 41370, Cazalla de la Sierra, Sevilla. If you choose to send it by courier or post, it is compulsory to fill in and send it together with the film. This form will be available on the official website of the Festival, under the registration section.


4.- Jury.


The Jury will be made up of a group of film and environmental professionals. The verdict of the Jury will be unappealable and may not declare the prizes void.

Award “Ambassador of Sierra Morena de Sevilla”:
Honorary award to people from the world of cinema or environment, to recognize their work in the field of conservation, rural defence, ecology, sustainability, environmental protection, and so on. Statuette and recognition.


6.- Celebration of the Festival.


The Festival will be held in May 2020, in the 10 villages that shape the region of Sierra Morena of Seville: La Puebla de los Infantes, El Pedroso, Las Navas de la Concepción, Constantina, Guadalcanal, El Real de la Jara, Almadén de la Plata, Cazalla de la Sierra, Alanís and San Nicolás del Puerto.
The programme and timetables of screenings and parallel activities will be posted on the official website and on the official social networks of the Festival.


7.- Promotion and communication.


The Festival may use photos, trailers or fragments of the films, for the promotion of the event. After the Festival, some of the award-winning works may be used in promotional activities for promotion purposes, always giving prior notice to the director and without charging an entrance fee and for cultural purposes.


ANNEX I


Sierra Morena de Sevilla Award
Aim: The Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Sierra Morena de Sevilla announces, within its I International Film Festival of Nature, Ecology and Environment, the award "Sierra Morena de Sevilla" aimed at rewarding the audiovisual production made by citizens registered in any of the 10 towns of our region, with the aim of involving and raising awareness among our citizens within the theme promoted by the Festival.

Participation: Any individual(s) registered in the villages of the Sierra Morena Sevillana (Guadalcanal, San Nicolás del Puerto, Alanís, Cazalla de la Sierra, Constantina, San Nicolás del Puerto, Las Navas de la Concepción, La Puebla de los Infantes, El Real de la Jara and Almadén de la Plata) may participate. Each person may participate with a maximum of two short films. The short films can be fiction, animation or documentaries and must be framed within the themes of Nature, Ecology, Rural, Recycling, Sustainability, Environment, etc. IT IS COMPULSORY TO FILL IN THE REGISTRATION DOCUMENT THAT CAN BE FOUND in www.cinemafestival.org, registration certificate or proof of ID has to be enclosed as well.

Deadlines: The short film will be delivered in USB, DVD, BLURAY, courier, post, via telematic (Wetransfer, Dropbox, Drive or similar platforms) or in person in the Mancomunidad de Municipios de Sierra Morena. For the telematic option the following email will be used: info@cinemafestival.org. To send the short film on physical support or in person, the address is Mancomunidad de municipios de la Sierra Morena de Sevilla, Carretera del Pedroso, Edificio de Los Escolares PL-1, 41370, Cazalla de la Sierra, Sevilla. The short films can be delivered until 8th of May 2020.

Projections: With the aim of enhancing the value of the work done, all of them will be screened within the programme of the I International Film Festival of Nature, Ecology and Environment Sierra Morena de Sevilla, in May 2020. In addition, the Festival will invite each individual that presents a short film to present it within the Festival's program, giving space and value to these creations from our region.

Award: In this category there will only be awarded one prize to the best short film of the Sierra Morena of Seville, endowed with 300 € and Statuette. It will be presented at the Closing Ceremony of the Festival.

Jury: A Special Jury will be set up for this category, made up of 3 members related to the field of Audiovisual and Environment. The decision of the Jury will be unappealable and the Jury will not be able to leave this category void.
