ABOUT SHORTS WRAP

Shorts Wrap is a film festival that supports short film creators. We write film reviews and organize mentorship programs and masterclasses at various film festivals.

More than 10 film directors, screenwriters, and producers collaborate with the platform. Their work has premiered in the Main Short Film Competition or the La Cinef student short film section at the Cannes Film Festival.

We have written over 100 reviews, many of which are available on our website. We organized masterclasses at Prague Film Festival 2025 and Košice International Film Festival 2025.

You can find us on social media as @shorts_wrap, where we regularly share important information from the world of short films, including key deadlines for Oscar, BAFTA, and EFA qualifying festivals. Each month, the Shorts Wrap platform highlights one film of the month, which is promoted across its social media channels. We also publish predictions for short film categories during the Oscar and BAFTA awards season.

Our key partners include Edinburgh Short Film Festival, HollyShorts Comedy, TINFF – Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, Košice International Film Festival, and Prague Film Festival.

TEAM
Shorts Wrap was founded by Erik Jasaň, whose film qualified for the Academy Awards in the category Best Live Action Short Film and was selected at festivals such as Balinale, TIFF – Tirana International Film Festival, and HollyShorts Film Festival. The festival’s international ambassador is Patrik Krivanek, a BAFTA member.

Shorts Wrap is also part of the Košice International Film Festival, where selected films are presented in a special screening section dedicated to works that stand out for their experimental style and hybrid approaches to cinematic language.

The festival will take place at the iconic Kino Úsmev, the only continuously operating traditional cinema in the center of Košice, located at Kasárenské Square in the Staré Mesto district.
