Zinetxiki Zinemaldia opens the Gidoi call for entries, focused on the adaptation of literary works into children's and youth audiovisual content. The goal is to boost projects in the early stages of development and foster the creation of quality content for new generations. Every story begins with a proposal. Make yours connect with the new generations!

Cash Prizes: 1,500€

Two proposals will be selected to take part in a comprehensive support and development program. The selected projects will receive a grant of €1,500 each and will access a specialized training program including in-person and online masterclasses.

Likewise, they will enjoy personalized and individual mentoring sessions with prominent professionals from the audiovisual sector to refine narrative and visual adaptation.

The process will culminate in the preparation and participation in Pitch Gidoi, a final project presentation session held in Bilbao before invited professionals from the audiovisual and publishing fields.

The call is open to adults, individually or in teams, who wish to adapt a literary work (original, published, public domain, or with active rights) in short film or series format (fiction, animation, or documentary) aimed at children and youth. Submissions are open until November 23 at 23:59 h exclusively through the Festhome platform. Consult the rules and prepare your documentation (project memo, synopsis, adaptation proposal, and rights accreditation).

Required submissions:

Project memo

Detailed synopsis

Adaptation proposal

Letter of interest for the rights of the literary work (if not an original work)

Full script treatment
