The Fifth Slemani International Film Festival will take place this October, bringing together renowned filmmakers from both national and international stages. This year's festival will feature seven competition sections, with a total of 19 awards to be presented. The festival's theme will focus on the Kurdish language and mother tongue, highlighting linguistic and cultural identity through cinema.

All national and international films must have English subtitles.

For national films, only those produced from 2023 onwards will be accepted, while for international films, only those produced from 2024 onwards will be eligible.
