IT´S OPEN TO ALL

3.1 The categories to be awarded are:

a) First, second and third Best Short Film of the Festival.
b) First and second Best National Short Film.
c) Best feature film of the Festival.
d) Best Short Film aimed at children.
e) Mentions:
• Quarantine theme.
• Student Short Film. Produced from schools.
• Youth. Awarded to the best short directed by a Peruvian citizen under the age of 30.
• Best national acting performance.

3.2 The festival trophy will be awarded in each category. The definition of winning works is exclusive to the Community Jury.
3.3 The Community Jury is made up of residents of Lima Sur, outstanding high school students, high school teachers, local artists, local cultural managers and a foreign guest of the festival. The members of the jury will preferably reside in South Lima. The jury will be in charge of choosing the winners of each one.
3.4 Any aspect not contemplated in the rules will be resolved by the organizing team.

Short film competition 2022:

BASES OF THE COMPETITION

1. ABOUT THE SHORT FILMS
1.1 Can take part to the festival short movies from fiction or documentary genre. Animation can also be used for any category.

1.2 The works must have a maximum duration of 15 minutes and must have been made with any type of support for the capture of images. That is video camera, camera, cell phones, etc.

1.3 The production of the works must be after January 1, 2020.

1.4 The theme is free, but the works that can communicate effectively with the population of the district of Villa María del Triunfo will be valued, being this Spanish-speaking, diverse in terms of age, gender and degree of education.

1.5 Short films in an other language than Spanish need Spanish subtitles.

1.6 Can take part to the competition national or foreigner producers. It can be individual or collective.

1.7 An author or a collective can propose the quantity of short films they want.


2. ABOUT THE INSCRIPTION

2.1 Short films can be collected until March 01, 2022. Short films finalists will be projected in different areas for the 14th Festival.

2.2 The inscription and the sending of short films can be done in TWO ways:

a)Direct sending and inscription:
_ Send the short films joined or with a link to: festivalcinevmt@5minutos5.org. Links need to be ideally from Dropbox, but can also be with wetransfer, 4shared, filefactory, etc.

- Fill the form.

b) Sending and inscription since the platform:

www.festhome.com

c) To the same address, send promotional material that included:
- teaser or trailer (optional)
- poster in A1 in high quality

2.3 The finalist works will be included to the Festival records. In no case those will be used as a lucrative purpose. The authorization of the owner's rights will be asked before any kind of cultural diffusion out of the festival.

2.4 The inscription to the competition is free


3. ABOUT THE PRIZE GIVING AND THE JURY

3.1 The categories are:

a) First, second, third Best short film of the festival.

b) First and second Best National short film.
c) Best feature film of the festival.
d) Best child-oriented short film.
e) Mentions:

• Youth. Awarded to the best short directed by a Peruvian citizen under 30 years.
• Best national acting interpretation.


3.2 The festival trophy will be awarded in each category. The definition of winning works is the exclusive decision of the Community Jury.

3.3 The Community Jury is made up of neighbors from South Lima, outstanding high school students, high school teachers, local artists, local cultural managers and a foreign guest of the festival. Preferably Jury members will reside in South Lima. The jury will be in charge of choosing the winners of each category.

3.4 Any aspect not contemplated in the rules will be resolved by the organizing team.

4. Competitive Show of National Feature Films
This show is made up of Peruvian feature films produced since January 2020.
The pre-selection for its exhibition is in charge of the Organizing Committee of the Festival.

The selected Feature Films will be shown while competing for the Best National Feature Film of the 2022 Festival.
