XIV LATINUY: INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF LATIN CINEMA IN URUGUAY - OFFICIAL COMPETITION OF IBERO-AMERICAN SHORT AND FEATURE FILMS

.- The 14th International Latin Film Festival of Uruguay, LatinUy, to be held from November 9th to 13th, 2022, calls for the Ibero-American Short and Long Film Competition, with the aim of stimulating and disseminating the production of short films from the region and the continent.

.- Short and feature films produced and made in Latin American countries, or Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries, may participate, even if they have production from other countries outside the continent, but the origin of the project and its realization must be in a Latin American country, or Spain and Portugal. Films of any origin but related to a specific Latin American theme may also participate.

.- They must have been produced as of January 1, 2020 and in the following categories: fiction, documentary and animation. The maximum length accepted per film will be 15 minutes for short films and 100 for long films. The films may not have been exhibited in previous editions of the festival and priority will be given to those that are national or regional premieres.

.- The films may have been produced in any film or digital format, but they must be presented for exhibition in the following formats: MOV file H264 1920x1080 or similar (MKV, MP4, AVI).

.- In the case of films that are not originally in Spanish, they must come with subtitles embedded in Spanish. Exceptionally, works will be accepted if they are sent with an SRT file with Spanish subtitles.

.- The deadline for the reception of materials is October 10th, 2022.

.- An international jury of three members will discern the awards in the different categories, and their decision will be final.

.- The festival will try to provide facilities for the presence of the directors of the selected short films during the festival, but the acceptance of the work does not imply the granting of an invitation with ticket and accommodation, which must be paid for by the participant.

.- The registration of the film in the festival implies the tacit acceptance of these rules. Any unforeseen event not established in these Rules and Regulations, or arising during the Festival, shall be interpreted and resolved solely and exclusively by the Organizing Committee, and shall not give rise to any kind of subsequent claim.
