ACTRUM is a non-profit Cultural Association that works in all areas of the artistic sector.

In this festival, the finalist works will be screened online and it will be open to the public, who will have to vote through our website for their 3 favorite shorts/feature films from each section to award the public prizes.

The following awards are established for the four sections:

All awards will be endowed with a diploma and accrediting laurel.

OFFICIAL RULES FOR THE III EDITION OF THE ACTRUM INTERNATIONAL

FILM FEST – [AIFF]

The Association ACTRUM Producciones announces the “IV Edition of the AIFF,” in accordance with the following Official Rules:

ARTICLE 1. – The festival will take place in Rivas Vaciamadrid, from the 15th to the 30th of
November, 2024.

ARTICLE 2. – The festival will be held in collaboration with the city of Rivas Vaciamadrid.

ARTICLE 3.- The objectives of the festival are as follows: recognize the work of all aspects of cinematography; offer free showings of films (short and feature-length) to the public; and create a multicultural space to explore cinema from around the world.

ARTICLE 4.- Technical film requirements are as follows:

Short films

a. Maximum length: 30 minutes
b. Produced after January 1, 2019.

Feature-length films

a. Maximum length: 3 hours
b. Produced after January 1, 2019.

All films must be in compatible projection formats, H.264 recommended.

ARTICLE 5.- All selected short and feature length films will be given the option of overnight accommodations in the ALBERGUE JUVENIL of Rivas Vaciamadrid should they wish to attend the screenings and/or closing ceremonies. A 12% discount is available for the Sercotel AC Rivas should participants wish to stay at this establishment.

ARTICLE 6.- First submission of shorts and feature length films is free. After initial screenings, the AIFF pre-selection committee will advance the appropriate projects to the evaluation board. All screenings and evaluations will be carried out without cost to the submitters. Once this process is complete, the official juried selections will be required to pay participation fees in the amount of 20€ for short films and 30€ for feature length films in order to participate in the festival and be eligible for the awards detailed in ARTICLE 10.

ARTICLE 7.- The fees described in ARTICLE 6 are not considered deposits and are nonrefundable.

ARTICLE 8.- All participants under 18 years of age must notify the organizers in advance and provide a signed authorization from a parent or legal guardian. The organizers reserve the right to contact said guardians to confirm the authenticity of the authorization.

ARTICLE 9.- The number of submissions will be determined by the established deadlines.

As part of the selection process, the organizers will consider the following factors:

· The quality of the various categories as detailed in the award listing.
· Film crew equality.
· Themes of particular sociocultural interest.
· Originality of the work.

NTERNATIONAL SELECTION: SHORT FILMS

· Best short film

· Best performance

INTERNATIONAL SELECTION: FEATURE length FILMS

· Best feature length film (fiction)
· Best feature length documentary

ANIMATED SHORTS SELECTION

· Best animated short

DOCUMENTARY SHORTS SELECTION

· Best documentary short

SPECIAL SELECTION

· Audience award

ARTICLE 11.- The Jury will be made up entirely of members of the organizing committee.

ARTICLE 12.- Submissions open on February 1, 2024, and close on September 15, 2024. In rare circumstances and only via express prior consent by the organization, a 7-day extension may be granted for the acceptance of submissions.

ARTICLE 13.- Registrations or submissions via email will not be accepted.

ARTICLE 14.- Submissions must be uploaded on FESTHOME, using only this platform. Access to this platform will be available through our
website (www.actrum.org), under the “Festivales” heading.

ARTICLE 15.- The organization will announce the screening dates and complete festival programming in advance.

ARTICLE 16.- The Closing Ceremony Gala will be held on November, 2024, in the Salón de Actos del Edificio ATRIO located on Av. José Hierro, 56 (Rivas Vaciamadrid). Attendance to the ceremony is required for accepting the award. At the Closing Ceremony Gala only national awards will be delivered. International awards will be granted online via our website (www.actrum.org)

All awards are accompanied by a certificate and the selection laurel.

The selection laurel will be public between September 15th, 2024, (deadline date) and the Closing Gala.

ARTICLE 17.- Video and photography obtained during the screenings and Closing Ceremony Gala may be used on social media after the event.

ARTICLE 18.- Those responsible for the exploitation and screening rights fully grant these rights with no remuneration during the screenings of the festival. The organization reserves the right to use posters, stills and clips of the selected works in order to promote the event on social media.

Should the organization wish to screen a selection outside the festival dates as described, prior consent will be attained by the organizers from the responsible parties.

ARTICLE 19.- These Official Rules may be modified as deemed necessary by the organization.

ARTICLE 21.- Inscription in the festival implies the acceptance of all rules and regulations herein.
