Kika Kills Producciones is organizing the 6th Ponme un corto International Short Film Festival, in collaboration with the Huerta de Rey Town Hall.
Prizes totaling over €4,000 will be awarded.
Official Section Requirements:

90s Section Requirements:
Duration under 120 seconds.

Maximum duration: 5 minutes.
Production date after January 1, 2025.

Several awards are established with a total value of at least €4,000, for which all short films accepted in competition will be eligible, subject to the limitations of each category:

LOS 90 KIKA KILLS AWARD FOR BEST SHORT FILM UP TO 120 SECONDS: Trophy + cash prize + direct entry to Los 90 Certamen Cine Corto de Soria.
BEST ANIMATION AWARD: Trophy + cash prize
PASARELA A SALAS AWARD: Trophy + direct entry to the Official Section of the Salas de los Infantes Short Film Festival. Only projects with a running time of up to 5 minutes are eligible.
CENCOR 5/10 AWARD: Trophy + cash prize. Only projects with a running time between 5 and 10 minutes are eligible.
GAMUSINOS AWARD: Trophy + direct entry to the Cazando gamusinos section of Certamen Cine Corto de Soria. Only comedy or freak-content projects are eligible.
PUEBLA FILM FESTIVAL 2.0 AWARD: Trophy + one-year distribution support. Only projects selected from the local section of the Puebla Film Festival are eligible.
RUMBO A PUEBLA AWARD: Trophy + direct entry to the Rumbo a Puebla section of the Puebla Film Festival.
ACK BEST LOCAL SHORT FILM AWARD: Trophy + production of a professional short film of up to 120 seconds. Chosen by the audience.
OUR STORY AWARD. BEST LOCAL SHORT FILM JURY AWARD: Trophy + gift.
OUR PERFORMER AWARD. BEST LOCAL PERFORMANCE: Trophy + gift.
The jury/organization may grant special mentions to other short films if deemed appropriate.
Cash awards include taxes, and the corresponding withholdings required by current legislation will apply. In order for the awards to be made effective, it is essential that on September 26 the winners have an accredited physical representative present at the awards ceremony. If any award is decided ex aequo, each winner will receive a trophy and the cash prize will be divided equally between them.
6th Ponme un corto International Short Film Festival 2026
Kika Kills Producciones and the Hon. Town Council of Huerta de Rey organize the 6th Ponme un corto Short Film Festival, which will be held at the Municipal Theatre of the Burgos town of Huerta de Rey.
The selected short films will be screened on August 27, 28, and 29, and September 4 and 6, while the closing gala and awards ceremony will take place on September 26.
PARTICIPANTS
Individuals or entities of any nationality may participate.
Each participant may submit as many short films as they wish.
SHORT FILMS
Official Section
THE SUBMISSION PERIOD FOR ENTRIES RUNS FROM MARCH 16 TO JULY 15, 2026.
Short films must have a maximum running time of twenty minutes (the Festival management reserves the right to invite projects with a different duration than initially agreed).
Projects must be shot in Spanish/Castilian, or otherwise be subtitled in this language.
This section will accept short films made between January 1, 2024 and July 15, 2026 (the Festival management reserves the right to invite projects made outside the dates initially agreed).
Fiction, documentary, and animation short films are accepted.
Files are recommended to be submitted in .mp4 format with H264 video compression and AAC / MP3 stereo audio. Resolution: 1920×1080.
Los 90 Section

Local/Regional Section
THE SUBMISSION PERIOD FOR ENTRIES RUNS FROM MARCH 16 TO AUGUST 23, 2026.
Short films must have a maximum running time of five minutes and must be shot in Spanish/Castilian, or otherwise be subtitled in this language.
This section will accept projects made between January 1, 2025 and August 23, 2026.
To be considered a short film within the local section, it must meet at least one of the following three requirements:
It must have been shot in locations in Huerta de Rey or the surrounding area (to be defined by the festival management).
The director or screenwriter must be from Huerta de Rey, a resident of the town, or a descendant of the town.
The lead performers must be from Huerta de Rey, residents of the town, or descendants of the town.
The festival management reserves the final authority to accept or reject short films in this category, carefully assessing the above considerations.
Fiction, documentary, and animation short films are accepted.
Files are recommended to be submitted in .mp4 format with H264 video compression and AAC / MP3 stereo audio. Resolution: 1920×1080.
For the short film to be accepted, it is necessary to submit together with it a poster of the project showing at least the title and the director.
JURY
The jury will be made up of several professionals from the audiovisual field or related areas.

SUBMISSION AND MATERIALS
Participants must submit the following materials through the distribution platform Festhome.
• Project poster.
• Short film in .mp4 format with H264 video compression and AAC stereo audio. Recommended resolution: 1920×1080. It is recommended that the short film file size does not exceed 2GB.
The selected short films will be chosen by a selection committee affiliated with the organization of Ponme un corto. A jury made up of industry professionals will assess the finalist projects and decide the awards. The awards ceremony will take place on September 26.
DISTRIBUTION AND SCREENING RIGHTS
Participants must hold the distribution and screening rights to the work, including the soundtrack and the image rights of the people appearing in it.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES
Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these rules. Any matters not specified herein shall be decided at the discretion of the jury and the organization.
The organization reserves the right to make changes to these rules without prior notice whenever deemed necessary for the proper functioning of the call.
