The Prague Shorts Film Festival is organized by Film Servis Festival Karlovy Vary, organizer of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

The best and most inspiring short films from all over the world head towards the Czech capital again, where they will be presented at the 17th Prague Shorts Film Festival. This event will be held from November 6th - 11th, 2022.

The audience will have the opportunity to watch dozens of films in traditional sections - International Competition, National Competition, Labo Competiton, the late night Brutal Relax Show and other informative sections.

The Festival accepts fiction, animation, documentary and experimental short films only.

Cash Prizes: 25,000€

Within the International Competition, the Jury shall present the following awards:

Grand Prix and EUR 3,000 for Best Short Film
Further, the Jury may award the following:

two Special Jury Mentions
Within the National Competition, the Jury shall present the following awards:

Grand Prix and EUR 2,000 for Best Short Film
Further, the Jury may award the following:

two Special Jury Mentions
Within Labo Competition — the experimental films section, the Jury shall present the following awards:

Grand Prix and EUR 1,000 for the Best Experimental Film
Financial awards will go to the director of the winning films and may not be attributed ex-aequo.

Only works produced after January 1, 2021 can be included in the competition.

International Competition of short films of up to 30 minutes.

National Competition of short films of up to 30 minutes
Labo Competition of short experimental films of up to 30 minutes non-competitive informative film sections, retrospectives, biographies, tributes and other accompanying events. The length of films in non-competitive informative sections must not exceed 30 minutes.

All foreign language films must be subtitled in English.
