VerSonar – Music in Film Festival.
VerSonar celebrates the power of music in cinema. We invite short, medium, and feature-length films in categories such as music video, fiction, documentary, and biopic, offering space for new perspectives and promoting local identity.
The selected works will be presented in official screenings and a variety of festival-related activities.
VerSonar is a meeting point for creators and audiences, where music and image intertwine to tell stories that can be both felt and heard.

Rules and Regulations
1. Objectives
The VerSonar Festival aims to promote and highlight audiovisual works where music is the central focus, providing a meeting space for filmmakers, musicians, and audiences. The festival places special emphasis on encouraging new perspectives and promoting local identity.
2. Categories and Formats
- Audiovisual Formats
Short Films - 2 to 19 minutes
Medium-Length Films - 20 to 49 minutes
Feature-Length Films - from 50 minutes

Music Video
Fiction
Documentary
Biopic
3. Submission
The call is open to filmmakers of any nationality.
Works produced on or after January 1, 2023.
Each participant may submit more than one work, provided that all requirements are met.
All works must be submitted in their original version. If the original language is not Spanish, the work must include Spanish subtitles.
Submissions will be accepted exclusively through the Festhome platform.
4. Selection
The selection of works will be carried out by the VerSonar Festival Programming Committee.
The committee’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
Selected works will be notified by email and announced on the festival’s official website and social media channels.
5. Exhibition of Selected Works
Selection implies the express authorization for the exhibition of the work within the framework of the VerSonar Festival.
This authorization is non-exclusive; all rights remain with the authors and/or producers.
Includes:
Exhibition during official screenings.
Use of excerpts (up to 3 minutes) and still images for the festival’s promotional purposes.
The festival may organize itinerant or associated screenings within the same edition, with prior notification to the rights holders, who may accept or decline participation.
Any other use will require express written authorization from the rights holder.
6. General Conditions
Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these rules and regulations.
Participants guarantee that they hold the exhibition rights for the submitted works.
The festival assumes no responsibility for claims related to copyright or intellectual property.
Any situation not contemplated in these rules will be resolved by the festival’s organizing team.
