VerSonar – Music and Film Festival

VerSonar celebrates music in film. We welcome short, medium, and feature-length films in music videos, fiction, documentary, biopic, providing space for fresh perspectives and promoting local identity. Selected works will be screened in official sessions and associated festival events.

A meeting place for creators and audiences where music and images come together to tell stories that are felt and heard.

VerSonar – Music and Film Festival Guidelines

1. Objectives
The VerSonar Festival aims to promote, value, and award audiovisual works where music is a central element, providing a meeting space for filmmakers, musicians, and audiences, with a special focus on promoting fresh perspectives and local identity.

2. Categories and Formats
Audiovisual Formats

Short films (up to 30 min)
Medium-length films (31 to 59 min)
Feature films (60 min or more)
Genres
Music Videos
Fiction
Documentary
Biopic

3. Submission
The call is open to filmmakers of any nationality.
Each participant may submit more than one work, provided all requirements are met.
Works must be submitted in their original version. If the language is not Spanish, Spanish subtitles must be included.
Submissions must be made exclusively through the Festhome platform.

4. Selection
The selection of works will be carried out by the VerSonar Festival Programming Committee.
Committee decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
Selected works will be notified by email and announced on the festival’s official website and social media.

5. Exhibition of Selected Works
Selection implies explicit authorization for exhibition within the framework of the VerSonar Festival.
This authorization is non-exclusive, with all rights remaining with the authors or producers.
Includes:

Screening in official festival sessions.
Use of excerpts (up to 3 minutes) and images for festival promotion.
The festival may organize traveling or associated screenings of the same edition, with prior notification to rights holders, who may accept or decline participation.
Any other use must have the explicit written consent of the rights holder.

6. General Conditions
Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these guidelines.
Participants guarantee that they hold the exhibition rights for the submitted works.
The festival is not responsible for claims arising from copyright or intellectual property issues.
Any situation not covered by these guidelines will be resolved by the festival organization.
