The third edition of Pila Audiovisual Festival (FAP) produced by the Municipality of Pila, under the organization of the Municipal Cinema Theater "Padre Adolfo Anastasio", will be held in person in that city, from August 22 to 25, 2024.

This festival aims to stimulate and facilitate meetings between members of the cinematography, promote the exhibition, production and reflection on audiovisual production in our locality, generate zonal ties, and present films of all genres, accompanied by their representatives, to
contribute to the development of culture and the progress and dissemination of the audiovisual industry.

The following prizes will be awarded:

Best Short Film

ARTICLE 1º
The Third Pila Audiovisual Festival (FAP) produced by the Municipality of Pila, under the organization of the Municipal Cinema Theater "Padre Adolfo Anastasio", will be held in person in said city, from August 22 to 25, 2024.

This festival aims to stimulate and facilitate meetings between members of the cinematography, promote the exhibition, production and reflection on audiovisual production in our locality, generate zonal ties, and present films of all genres, accompanied by their representatives, to contribute to the development of culture and the progress and dissemination of the audiovisual industry.

ARTICLE 2º
The registration of films in all categories is free and is open to short film productions, national and international, of all genres.

Productions cannot be older than 2023. Accepting films made from 2023 inclusive onwards. (Productions that have participated in previous editions will not be admitted).

Films that are directly linked to a member of the Festival Selection Committee will not be able to participate competitively.

The works will have until July 1, 2024 to register.

ARTICLE 3
The 3rd edition of the FAP will be divided into National Competition (Argentina) and International Competition, both for Short Films.

ARTICLE 4
To submit a film to the Festival selection, it is necessary to complete the steps detailed below:

a) Complete the Registration Form

b) The links of the registered films must have the download option to be viewed by the Festival Selection Committee. A maximum of 2GB is recommended. Its use will be strictly internal.

The current registration ends on July 1, 2024.

4.1. This registration is open to all audiovisual creators over 18 years of age. If they are not, they must be sponsored by an adult.

4.2. The short films may not exceed 30 (thirty) minutes, including credits.

4.3. The films must be presented in their original language. If the film is not Spanish-speaking, it must be exclusively subtitled.

4.4. The works may have been originally made in any format.

4.5. Up to 2 works per audiovisual creator will be accepted.

The Festival office is located at San Martín 867, Pila, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina; Tel. (542241) 15-499506. This information is disclosed for the purposes that may apply, and it is expressly clarified that the entire registration process will be exclusively online.

ARTICLE 5
The list of selected works will be announced on August 1, 2024 through the official social networks of the Cine Teatro Municipal Pila and privately to the contact email of the work.

Once the Festival has communicated the selection of a film and the producer or his representative has received a confirmation email in agreement for participation in the FAP, it cannot be withdrawn.
Its producer or designated representative must send the requested film and promotional materials before the deadline, as indicated in these Regulations and in the Registration Form. These materials will be used for the catalog, the website, the press, advertising and the dissemination of the film's participation in the Festival.

5.1. In case they have not sent them through the Registration Form, the selected participants must send by email 3 images for the catalogue (.jpg format, minimum quality 300 dpi), a poster image of 300 dpi quality, trailer, synopsis and technical sheet of the work.

5.2. The screening at the Festival will be in DCP format. Therefore, the copy of the selected film can be delivered in DCP format to the address indicated by the Festival organization, or for later transfer, VIDEO WITH AUDIO – 1920 x 1080 – H.264. or failing that, with the link obtained in the participation as long as it respects the requested technical requirements. The presentation in other formats requires the authorization of the Festival.

ARTICLE 6

6.1. The jury in charge of the competition will be made up of personalities of the national culture, who will be in charge of choosing the winning short film(s).

6.2. The Festival authorities may be present during the Jury's deliberations, but will not be part of them nor have any vote.

6.3. No one who has any kind of interest in the production or exploitation of a film in competition may be a member of the jury.

6.4. The Jury's votes will be secret. The members of the Jury firmly commit themselves not to publicly express their opinions regarding the films.

6.5. The decisions made by the jury will be final.

ARTICLE 7

7.1. The following awards will be given:
Best National Short Film.
Best International Short Film.

7.2. In the event that different categories are generated, the Best Short Film in its category will also be awarded.

The categories, if any, will be:

-Documentary
-Fiction
-Videoclip
-Animation

7.3. The Jury may award up to 2 (two) Special Mentions, indicating the motivation that makes those who obtain them worthy of these mentions.

7.4. The Jury may award Special Mentions to different disciplines if it deems appropriate: such as Best Actor/Actress, Best Production, Best Screenplay, etc.

7.5. The Audience Award will also be awarded.

7.6. No award may be left vacant.

7.7. All films included will receive a Certificate of Participation. In addition to the certificate, the winners will receive a statuette and a diploma of recognition.

In addition, the winner will receive a cash prize that will be detailed closer to the date of the festival.

ARTICLE 8

8.1. The producers and distributors of the films that are part of the Competitions undertake to include the phrase “Official Selection of the Pila Audiovisual Festival” in all their publicity and press material, using the Festival logo.

8.2. The producers and distributors of the films that win awards undertake to highlight them in all their publicity and press material, using the Festival logo.

8.4. Any award that is not received at the Closing Ceremony may be collected at the Festival offices (or where and as indicated according to the circumstances), up to six months after the end of the event.

8.5. To apply for the cash prize, they must have an Argentine bank account. As well as an address where the physical prizes can be sent in case they do not attend the event.

ARTICLE 9
Audiovisual creators accept that the FAP may use the material for its projection, publicity and promotion of the festival.

ARTICLE 10
The material sent to the FAP for the purposes of applying for selection will remain in the possession of the organization of the same and will form part of the video library of the Festival.
