PRESENTATION

The ‘Amics del cinema de la Vall de Ribes’ Association presents the 13th edition of the Gollut Festival.

The Gollut Festival is committed to auteur cinema, social cinema and new narratives, promoting inclusion, critical reflection and the collective experience of cinema from a decentralised perspective.
It also supports experimental cinema in its short film section as a gateway for new talent and groundbreaking proposals.

It also aims to support emerging filmmakers and peripheral proposals that are often marginalised by commercial circuits and canonical film narratives.
Finally, it seeks to promote creativity and audiovisual research, promoting works that review, rethink and experiment with the possibilities of cinematic language, both in terms of form and content.

Each edition is defined by a central theme consistent with the festival's identity and its desire to encourage a critical reading of the world. This year, under the title ‘Out of Focus’, the festival focuses on stories and realities that are often invisible, offering narratives that propose new ways of observing, inhabiting and relating to the world, with transformative views of society. This approach allows us to escape from contemporary social fatigue, creating spaces for reflection and dialogue.

The festival awards several prizes that recognise the creativity, formal risk-taking and social commitment of the selected works.

In this edition, entitled ‘Fora de focus’ (‘Out of focus’), the festival focuses on stories and realities that are normally invisible. It offers narratives that propose new ways of observing and relating to the world. Transformative views of society that generate spaces for reflection and dialogue.
