HICFF Film Awards is a quarterly based film competition with annual screenings open to film makers and film lovers, recognising and awarding the work of independent film makers worldwide.

HICFF FILM AWARDS IS AN IMDb QUALIFYING FESTIVAL!

Our mission is to honour, celebrate and award the best talent in the global film making community.

Our vision is to promote films, helping filmmakers to improve their careers. Each quarter, our Jury will award the best films through private screenings.

All quarterly winners will be automatically nominated for the prestigious ANNUAL GURU DRONACHARYA GOLDEN AWARDS and they will be invited to attend our Annual Live Screening Gala in presence of juries, critics, film scholars and eminent movie personalities from across the globe.

The first quarterly event date is 30th June 2021 for which entries are open till 17th June 2021. Click here to see all competition categories for submitting your film.

HICFF FILM AWARDS, Annual Festival will be held in GURUGRAM (GURGAON-HARYANA INDIA) IN APRIL 2022.

Films entered in multiple categories may win multiple awards!

The officially selected projects in each quarter receive HICFF laurel and are announced on our website.

All quarterly Winners receive HICFF laurel and certificate and are rated at their respective IMDb pages (if applicable).

PLEASE NOTE: THE FESTIVAL WILL NOT ORGANISE AND OR REIMBURSE ANY TRAVEL / ACCOMMODATION FOR FILM MAKERS AND OR THEIR ARTISTS TO ATTEND THE FESTIVAL. All Filmmakers will be informed about the procedure to attend the physical screening event and awards night approximately one month prior to the vent dates.

If everything goes well than there will be no cancellation or postponement of our Festivals operations for this COVID-19 issue. Otherwise Physical event date may postpone based on the best possibilities and Covid19 guidelines of Government of India.

Festival team along with Honourable juries remain committed to continuing the festival operations as per prevailing schedule and process.

Please read these Rules & Terms carefully before you submit your film. By submitting your film, you expressly acknowledge and agree that you shall be bound by the terms of these Rules & Terms.

HICFF is open to any film completed after January 1, 2015, regardless of content, subject, or origin. Submitting your film to the HICFF is not a guarantee of selection. All the official selections, nominees and the winners will be listed on our website and informed by email. We treat every filmmaker equally.

1. All Films irrespective of any language should have English subtitles otherwise they will be summarily rejected.

2. A director / producer may submit more than one film in a category and more than one category at a time.

3. The HICFF is hereby granted the rights to utilise an excerpt from any film submitted for promotional purposes of the festival in any part of the world. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorised to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements, rules and regulations.

4. The HICFF reserves the right to refuse any entry/entries at any time.

5. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the HICFF, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits and publicity.

6. The HICFF will not refund any fees under any circumstances. Films submitted without the correct fees, appropriate category/ies or proper submission media may be deemed ineligible at the discretion of the HICFF programming director or executive director. The festival does not cover any of the expenses incurred by the filmmaker.

7. After a film has been an official selection, the filmmaker will be notified, and eventually the film will be listed on the festival website under Official Selections. It means that your film has been appreciated by our judges of panel and you can use the festival logo on your poster.

8. A filmmaker’s submission fee will not be reimbursed if they decide to withdraw their submission. All entry fees are non-refundable.

9. We require an official trailer, poster, synopsis and a link to your film. Please select the correct category while submitting to avoid any disqualification. We reserves all rights to re-assign films to the appropriate category or to disqualify the submission.

10. HICFF may without advance notice amend these Rules & Terms from time to time. Each and every such amendment shall be become effective immediately. It is your responsibility to periodically check for updates of these Rules & Terms.

DISCLAIMER: All filmmakers understand and accept that if their film is accepted for presentation and screening at the film festival, they grant full and unrestricted permission for HICFF to screen the film/video at times of the festivals choice. HICFF will accept all submission through googldrive, vimeo with download permissions and via Festhome online screener.
