IPSMF (International Photography and Short Movie Festival) is an international event held annually by the Faculty of Communication and Business, Telkom University, Bandung. IPSMF is expected to become a competitive activity that facilitates skills, becomes a means of exchanging ideas, and of course as a forum for conveying photo and film creators to the public.

Is a theme that raises the dynamics of the intersection between global changes that occur in the digital era and culture that is present in society, and the future is part of the culture.

IPSMF as an international event is expected to become a competitive activity that facilitates the ability of photo and film creators, a vehicle for exchanging ideas for fellow photo and film requests, and of course, as a means of delivering photo and film works to the public. as a competition on an international scale, where participants include other countries, this event is expected to bring an interesting picture of the culture and dynamics of change experienced in each country as well as how the existence of culture is their future.

THEME :
“Culture Appreciation Through Creation”.

SUB-THEMES :

● Social Culture
An overview of culture in people’s lives that implement human values, social ordinances, and behavior as social creatures such as dressing culture, communication culture, and cultural diversity.

● Digital Culture
An overview of the appearance of collaboration and digitalization in the technology and culture sector that affect life chances in society nowadays.

● Culture Diversity
An overview of diversity in social and cultural features that have developed and become the background of today's society.

Note: perception of the explanation of each subtheme, participants can perform according to their perceptions.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SHORT FILM COMPETITION

1. This competition is allowed for the public and students (amateur and professional).

2. This competition is FREE of charge.

3. The theme of the film "Culture Appreciation Through a Creation" with a choice of sub-themes (Social Culture, Digital Culture, and Culture Diversity).

4. The duration of the film is at least 5 minutes and a maximum of 20 minutes (including title and credit).

5. Film works in the form of documentaries and fiction.

6. Films are original works and may not use a material that violates copyrights.

7. Films cannot contain SARA and pornography.

8. Participants are responsible for all copyright issues or matters relating to the creation and ownership of the registered work.

9. The maximum number of participants in 1 team is 6 participants.

1 (one) participant could include a maximum of 2 (two) films with different teams.
10. Participants must attach Credit Title.

11. Short films included are at least from the last 4 years (counting years 2018 to 2022).

12. Submissions must include English subtitles (English films are no exception).

13. The best and selected films will be contacted by the committee and have the opportunity to be included in attending film screenings (screening) at the International

14. Photography and Short Movie Festival (IPSMF) in Bandung, Indonesia.

15. Committee has the right to disqualify short films before, during, and after the judging takes place if there are found works that conceptually the making and presentation are considered to violate the rules and conditions.

16. By joining this competition, participants gave the committee the right to use short films for the purposes of publication of the competition, documentation, and screening of films (screening) which will be utilized by the International Photography and Short Movie Festival (IPSMF).

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA :

1. This assessment was carried out by a Judges Team determined by the International Photography and Short Movie Festival (IPSMF) committee.

2. Films received in accordance with the specified deadline will be selected by the committee and curator team.

3. The judges' decision will be final.

4. The aspects assessed and the weight of the judging:


TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION:

1. This competition is allowed for the public and students (amateur and professional).

3. Participants could take part in competitions based on the theme “Culture Appreciation through a Creation” with a choice of sub-themes (Social Culture, Digital Culture, and Culture Diversity).

4. All Participants could only register with 2 (two) works maximum.

5. Photos are original works and may not use image/ photo material that is released as copyright.

6. The submitted photo works are from the last 3 years (counting years from 2019 to 2022).

7. Model release and property release are entirely the participant’s responsibility.

8. Participants are responsible if there is a claim from the third side for the photos or works that are submitted to the competition at a later time.

9. The works should not contain SARA and pornography.

10. The works should have no watermark/photo identity in any format.

11. Photos editing (color grading) is allowed but only for quality enhancements, it is not allowed to manipulate photos such as adding elements and design graphics.

12. Participants could use any camera such as DSLR, Mirrorless, Pocket Camera, Analog, and Smart Phone to take the picture.

13. The best and selected photos will be called by the committee and will continue to be included in the photo exhibition at the International Photography and Short Movie Festival (IPSMF) in Bandung, Indonesia.

14. The committee has the right to disqualify photos before, during, and after judging, if there is found the photography works that violate the rules by concept making and presentation and also break the terms and conditions.

15. By participating in this competition, participants give the right to all committees to use photographs for the purposes of publication of the competition, documentation, and photo exhibitions that will be used by the International Photography and Short Movie Festival (IPSMF)
