The unmissable event celebrating young filmmaking talents is back for its 8ᵗʰ edition!
Created by true cinema enthusiasts, Les Regards de L’ICART honors the creativity and boldness of new voices in short filmmaking.

For this new edition, our goal is to highlight emerging directors from around the world who present innovative, activist, and committed cinema through an original international selection.

The winner of the Grand Prix will receive a €1,500 grant to support the continuation of their film projects.

The Event :

Join us on March 10, 2026, at Le Chaplin Cinema for an exceptional evening of screenings, encounters, and discoveries.

For this edition, we are introducing two competitions:

A Very Short Film Competition, short films between 1 and 5 minutes,

A Short Film Competition, short films between 5 and 20 minutes.

Awards will be presented to the winners after the screenings, during a special evening at Le Chaplin Cinema.

Les Regards de L’ICART — where tomorrow’s talents are born.

This call for entries is open to young filmmakers aged 18 to 35, whether they are students, professionals, or passionate amateurs.

Les Regards de L’ICART offers a unique opportunity to showcase one’s work to an audience of film lovers and a jury made up entirely of industry professionals eager to discover and support the next generation of engaged filmmakers.

At the end of the evening, the following prizes will be awarded:
- Grand Prix de l’ICART
- Best Film (categories: Very Short and Short)
- Best First Film
- Coup de coeur
- Best Performance (only for films of 5 to 20 minutes)

Want to take part in the 8ᵗʰ edition of Les Regards de L’ICART?

Eligibility requirements:

- Directors aged 18 to 35 (inclusive)


Film length:

- Les clins d'oeil de l'ICART - Very Short Competition: 1 to 5 min

- Les regards de l'ICART - Short Competition: 5 to 20 min

- Film type: fiction or animation

- Nationality: international

- The film must never have been submitted to Les Regards de L’ICART before

- All copyrights and related rights must be held by the rights holders

- Non-French-language films must include French subtitles

- Production date: from 2024 onwards

- Synopsis and technical sheet are mandatory

- The festival reserves the right to reject any film that could disturb public order, offend religious beliefs, or contain pornographic or violent content.

- Only final versions will be accepted; works still in post-production will not be considered.


Required materials for submission:

- Technical sheet (film duration, image format, production date, synopsis, crew, and partners)

- Director’s biography

- Director’s and producer’s statement of intent

- Private Vimeo or YouTube link (with password)

- French subtitles


If your film is selected, you will also need to provide:

- Communication materials (photos, posters, etc.)
- DCP format for theater screening
