mujerDOC - VI INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF DOCUMENTARY FILMS ON GENDER, organized by the NGO Mujeres del Mundo and the City Council of Soria, is a platform for the exhibition of DOCUMENTS created to help eliminate gender stereotypes and make visible the role of women in development of societies.
The works presented will include topics related to demands for equality and the feminist agenda.
They will be documentaries produced from January 1, 2020.
Participation in the Festival is open to all people, individually or collectively, without distinction of nationality or residence.
The festival will take place in March 2023 in Soria (Spain).
The festival, through a Committee, will select films to be part of an Official Section, with the following prizes:
- Woman Award: 3,000 euros (for this award, only films in which the director is a woman will be eligible)
- Long Film Award: 2,000 euros (from 60 minutes)
- Short Film Award: 1,000 euros (up to 59 minutes)
- CIMA Award for the best filmmaker (statuette and one year as a member of the Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media).
* Each selected film will receive 150 euros for screening at the Festival.
The selected films will also participate, if they wish, in the online edition of the contest, through the online cinema platform Filmin. The films can be seen on Filmin during the official festival dates. The benefits obtained will be distributed as follows: 60% for participating documentary films, 40% for Filmin.

TERMS mujerDOC - VI INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL ON GENDER
1.mujerDOC - VI INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL ON GENDER, from the NGO Mujeres del Mundo (NGO Women of the World) and Ayuntamiento de Soria (Soria Municipality), is a platform for the exhibition of documentary films created to help eliminate gender stereotypes and make visible the role of women in the development of society.
2. The films to be presented will include topics related to the demands for equality and the feminist agenda. They must be documentaries produced after January 1st, 2020. There is no maximum or minimum limit for runtime. They must be subtitled in english and Spanish. If it is not possible to have the version with Spanish subtitles, it will be a requirement to send the version with english subtitles and the list of dialogues in english.
3. Participation in the Festival is open to all people, individually or collectively, without distinction of nationality or residence. Each participant can present more than one work, it does not matter if it has been published or awarded in other competitions. It is essential to be the owner of the rights to display the film in Spain.
4. Registration will be formalized through the platform:

With the registration it is necessary to provide information about the film (technical sheet, country and year of production, synopsis) and permanent download link, without expiration date (so it can be viewed online by the Selection Committee, after the screening registration deadline). The registration costs that appear on the platforms will cover management, exhibition, projection and dissemination expenses of the Festival.
5. The deadlines for submitting films appear on the registration platforms, with October 30th, 2022 being the extended deadline.
6. The festival will take place in March 2023 in Soria (Spain). If the festival could not take place on these dates, due to exceptional circumstances, it would be announced well in advance, through social networks and media.
7. The festival, through a Committee, will select films to be part of an Official Section, with the following prizes:

8. The selected films must send a copy in DCP or in a high-quality digital version to be screened up to a maximum of four times in the Soria movie theater or in Festival windows in parallel spaces.
9. The selected films will also participate, if they wish, in the online edition of the contest, through the online cinema platform Filmin. The films can be seen on Filmin during the official festival dates. The benefits obtained will be distributed as follows: 60% for participating documentary films, 40% for Filmin.
10. By participating in the festival, the free reproduction of images and inserts (max. 3 minutes) of the film is authorized for the press, printed or digital publications, social networks, television broadcasts...
11. The organization reserves the right to modify any point of these terms if the circumstances require it, in that case we would publish all new information in our social media.
12. Participation in this contest implies acceptance of its terms.
