GUIDELINES: CINE VERSÁTIL, the International Short Film Festival on Diversity, offers an alternative approach to raising awareness about sexual and affective diversity through a cinematic celebration that integrates the non-competitive screening of LGBTIQ+ audiovisual narratives in short film format and new activist experiences.

The 16th edition focuses on Asia.

The duration of the works will be:

Up to 20 minutes maximum, including credits. No exceptions apply.

The accepted format for exhibition is digital media in all cases.

Short films with english .srt subtitles are accepted.

Short films must be produced between 2025 and 2027 January. Exceptions apply for 2024 depending on the quality.

The deadline for registration and submission of works will be set by the preliminary jury (May 20, 2027).

To participate in the 16th edition of the Festival, directors/producers must submit:

- A download link for the short film or a downloadable version on the submission platform used,
- An english .srt subtitle file.
-High-resolution stills (1920x1080)
-High-resolution official poster
-Technical specifications
-Synopsis
-Trailer (if available)
-Photo of the director
-Social media links for the short film and the director.

Registration for the festival implies full acceptance of these regulations.

The Preliminary Jury (festival curators) will make a pre-selection of the submitted works according to the regulations of this call for entries.

The official selection will be published via email to each of the selected works, once the call for entries closes and the CINE VERSÁTIL Preliminary Jury has reached a consensus on which works will be included in the official selection.

By registering their work, entrants authorize CINE VERSÁTIL to screen it on the online platform WAHUSTREAMING during the festival and at pre-festival events in Argentina. CINE VERSÁTIL will notify the filmmakers of these screenings in advance.

The director authorizes CINE VERSÁTIL to use up to two minutes of the film for the purpose of promoting the festival on television, the internet, and/or in cinemas.

The director is responsible for not infringing on the copyrights of third parties and releases the organizers of CINE VERSÁTIL from any legal liability. Those responsible for submitting their work to the platform assume full responsibility for intellectual property and copyright rights. They declare to the organizers of CINE VERSÁTIL that they are solely responsible for any type of claim or demand concerning the submitted material, and that they expressly agree to indemnify the organizers against any type of claim or demand, including claims for copyright and/or other rights, attorney's fees, and other expenses generated by such circumstances.
