Festival start: 17 October 2026      Festival end: 18 October 2026

The PFF Photophore Film Festival is the national independent short film festival in Dijon.

In 2024, the festival took on a significant role in our region. Entries are free and open to all young people under the age of 25. Through this event, our aim is to promote emerging talent on the big screen. For the 2026 edition, we are opening three categories: Fiction, Animation and Experimental.

We are offering five screenings over two days of the festival this year. The event will take place next autumn. The aim is to showcase the work of the younger generation by offering several screenings known as ‘les p’tites salles’, followed by a discussion between the audience and the filmmakers.

We award a golden statuette of Dijon’s iconic owl to the best film.

Your short film must be under 15 minutes long, and you must be under 25 years of age. School projects (secondary school) are not eligible for selection for our event. There is no entry fee.

You apply by email (in YouTube or Vimeo format), sending us the film along with a synopsis, the director’s full name, and any additional information you wish to provide.

Entries open on 15 April 2026. You may submit only one short film, and we invite you to attend the screening and awards ceremony.
