El Garaje del Actor is a theatrical space opening up to the audiovisual world. "El Garaje del Cine" was created as a festival designed to bring together filmmakers, audiences, and various figures from the audiovisual industry.

*Submitting a short film to El Garaje del Cine implies that the sender accepts the participation rules outlined herein.

*If the original language is not Spanish, the films must be subtitled in Spanish or, if applicable, in English.

*Submitted short films may have been previously screened, uploaded to the internet, or shown at other festivals/screenings.

*The screening of the selected short films will take place at the "El Garaje del Actor" theater (Calle Daoiz, 4, Madrid. Metro: Bilbao or Tribunal (Lines 4, 1, and 10).

*Films produced after January 1, 2023, with a maximum duration of 1 to 15 minutes will be accepted.

*The theme of the short films is completely open.

*There is no external jury for the awards. The festival will determine the results based on audience votes.

*Each person attending the session will receive a ballot to select their favorite short film, which will then be placed in a ballot box.

*Filmmakers whose works have been selected will be notified of the exact screening date of their short films.

*The individuals or entities responsible for the selected short films authorize the festival organizers to temporarily transfer the rights to their film for the purpose of screening it during the festival.

*If a submitted short film receives a festival award, it is mandatory that someone attend the Awards Gala to accept the award (this can be a member of the production team or an external representative). Failure to do so will invalidate the award.

*The finalist short films (those with the most votes) will be screened at the Awards Gala, and the winners will be announced.

*If the short film is selected, a confirmation of acceptance will be requested from the director, producer, distributor, etc., who submitted the short film. If no response is received within 7 calendar days, the short film will not be selected.

*Each selected short film will receive one invitation for the screening. Those attending without an invitation can reserve tickets for €10 on the El Garaje del Actor website. The ticket includes one drink (soft drink, water, beer, or a glass of wine).
