The Vespertilio Awards is an Italian cinematic recognition of the horror, yellow, thriller, noir, science fiction and dark fantasy panorama.
The Vespertilio Awards takes place in a single evening.
During the evening the different awards will be delivered in the various categories.

DOCUMENTARIES
Art.1
The competition is open to documentaries released from January 1st 2023 to March 17th 2025
Art.2
The documentary must be of Italian production.
Art.3
The members of the Jury will be provided with links where they can view the works.
The jury will select a triad from which only one winner will be chosen.
The winner will be awarded a prize during the final evening of the Vespertilio awards specially organized in August in Rome.
Art.4
The Vespertilio awards will be awarded according to the unquestionable judgment of a jury composed of at least five members.
Art.5
The five finalists and the winner of the Documentary category will be selected by voting by the jury.
Art.6
The representatives of the five finalists of the various awards will be invited to the Vespertilio awards ceremony during which the winners will be announced; in the absence of a representative, the prize will be awarded to the next classified
SHORT FILMS
Art. 1
The competition is open to short films made from September 1st 2023 to March 17th 2025
Art.2
The duration of the short film must not exceed 30 minutes, including the end credits.
Art.3
Registration for the competition must take place strictly no later than March 17th 2025
Art.4
The Vespertilio awards is awarded by a jury made up of at least five members
Art.5
Only films of Italian production will be accepted in the competition.
Art.6
The members of the Jury will be provided with links where they can view the works.
The jury is committed to choosing a shortlist of 5 finalists.
The representatives of the five finalists of the various awards will be invited to the Vespertilio awards ceremony during which the winners will be announced; in the absence of a representative, the prize will be awarded to the next classified
FEATURE FILMS
Art.1
The Vespertilio awards will assign a number of prizes to Italian-produced films that are part of the genres listed here: Horror, Thriller, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Noir and Dark Fantasy
Art. 2
The competition is open to feature films released in cinemas, platforms and events starting from September 1st 2023 to March 17st 2025
Art.3
The Jury is composed exclusively, free of charge, of professionals and enthusiasts of the sector.
Art. 4
Feature films of Italian production can compete.
Art. 5
For all award categories, the Jury will select a triad from among the films in competition from which only one winner will be chosen, who will be awarded a prize during the final evening of the Vespertilio awards scheduled in Rome in August.

The members of the Jury will be provided with links where they can view the works.
Art. 7
The various Vespertilio awards will be awarded according to the unquestionable judgment of the Jury based on the agreed voting system. The three finalists will be made public before the awards ceremony.

The representatives of the five finalists of the various awards will be invited to the Vespertilio awards ceremony during which the winners will be announced; in the absence of a representative, the prize will be awarded to the next classified
