The Gáldar International Film Festival (FIC Gáldar) is one of the most important film festivals in the Canary Islands, and has concentrated in each of its editions the very best of national and international cinema. Organized by the City Council of Gáldar through its Council of Culture since 2013, this festival proposes a live event with important health measures to ensure complete safety and confort.

Our event as of today will be hosted on the original intended dates. We are closely following the rules and regulations set by the government of Spain and, since our hope is that cinemas are allowed to full capacity before our event, we are also open to open our venues in a limited capacity if that was mandatory. The deadline to register for the XXV International Short Film Festival “El Pecado 2026” is open. This year prizes are: 1,500 euros for the winning fiction short film and 700 euros for the other four main prizes. The registration period goes from Monday May 4th, to Sunday June 7th of this year, both inclusive. The duration of the short films (maximum 2 by participant) will not exceed 20 minutes (21 including credits). If it has spoken sound, Spanish or subtitles in this language shall be used. Mogilev State Enterprise "Kinovideoprokat" welcomes you and informs that in September 2026 in the city of Mogilev, Republic of Belarus, the XXVIII International Festival of Animated Films "Animaevka-2026" will be held.

Over the years, the festival has become a celebration of animation for children and adults. Events are held in all regional centers of Belarus.
