- Franco Scepi, Italian artist and film director.
Gillo Dorfles defined him a multi-purpose inventor and Serge Silberman, the filmmaker of Bunuel’s films, called him “danseur des images”. He experimented with all kinds of media and languages, from theatre to cinema, from advertising to picture and much more.
He has been architect and set designer at the Teatro alla Scala di Milano (he was a scholar of Nicola Benois) and on Tv ( in “L’amico del giaguaro”). Film director, Can Cannes and Packaging exhibited at the Biennale di Venezia in 1980 and in 1982, he realized short-films, video-performances, music promos and commercials.
A regular client of Andy Warhol, he defined his work Over Ad ’Art and he received an Oscar for advertising in 1987 in New York. Among his Over Ad’ Art events there is “Caffé ad Arte”, created and realized with the participation of the actress Brooke Shields.
Over Ad’ Art represents a form of expression which follows the Pop art. The artist doesn’t use the images created by other people anymore, but he re-elaborates the advertising images realized by himself in a later work, recovering the aesthetic elements from the original materials. Over Ad’ Art symbolizes and suggests aesthetics in the mass communication to raise the collective imagination.
- Giovanni Ammendola, writer and scriptwriter.
Among his works we find the script of the film director Damiano Damiani
- Gianfranco Di Fiore, writer.
He has dealt with film direction, script and editing at the Giffoni Film Festival for four years. He has collaborated to several productions in Paris and in Barcelona.
He made his debut in 2011with the novel “La note dei petali bianchi” printed by Laurana, which has been finalist for prestigious literary awards.
In the last two years he returned to work on productions and films. Among his most important works there are two Creative Directions for some projects realized in New York.
