The Festimatge is a unique festival in Spain as it combines photography, short films and cinema 9.5 activities in one event. It is organized by Foto-Film Calella (www.fotofilmcalella.org) and has the support of Calella City Council (www.calella.cat)
The three main photography and film activities are summarized every year in FESTIMATGE, the Image Festival in Calella, which takes up the entire month of April with: photographic exhibitions, round tables, audiovisuals, workshops, seminars, screenings of retrospective films and pioneering authors of Catalan cinema, photography and film contests, international film meeting 9.5, collector's market, screenings of short films, classrooms and screenings of young films... all one showcase that turns Calella into the point of reference for fans of the world of image.

HONORARY AWARD ‘TROFEO TORRETES’ and €600 for the best short film in all categories of the competition.

RULES FOR THE 32ND TORRETES TROPHY SHORT FILM
PARTICIPANTS
Not all short films submitted will be selected for screening in the Official Section.
In order to promote amateur cinema, works by amateur filmmakers will compete in the Amateur Section.
The Torretes Joven Section (non-competitive) is intended for works by young filmmakers up to the age of 20, submitted by their school, workshop or institute. These films will be screened out of competition as part of the Festival events.
The admission and selection juries have the power to change the section and category of the short films submitted and will ensure strict compliance with the rules.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
a) Entries must be submitted to: https://festhome.com
If sent by email, the registration form at the end of these rules must be attached.
b) Works made before 2024 will not be accepted.
c) The duration may not exceed 25 minutes (including non-fiction).
d) If the language of the short film is not Catalan or Spanish, it must also be submitted with subtitles in one of these two languages.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMPETITION
a) There will be two juries:
one for selection, which will choose the works to be screened during the competition;
and another for evaluation, which will award the prizes.
Both will be appointed by the competition organisers and will be made up of people linked to the world of cinema, audiovisual media and culture.
b) The selection of films, screenings and the jury's verdict will be announced to the winning authors via social media and the websites www.fotofilmcalella.org and www.festimatge.org.
c) The admission, selection and judging juries will resolve any questions regarding the interpretation of the rules, and their decisions will be final.
d) The jury's decision will be announced on Saturday, 31 January 2026, at Can Saleta, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Open to members of the organisation.

*To be eligible for this award, filmmakers must have a connection to Calella.
The judging panel and the organisers of the competition will resolve any questions of interpretation relating to this award, and their decisions will be final.
The authors of the winning films may attend the awards Ceremony and Closing Gala of the 21st FESTIMATGE - Calella Image Festival, which will be held as indicated in the programme/website.
If, for justified reasons, they are unable to attend, they must send a video of thanks.
Trophies and cash prizes that are not collected during the closing ceremony of Festimatge will be held for only three months after the closing of the Festival.
If the prize is not claimed within that period, the organisation will be exempt from its delivery and payment.

b) In exceptional cases, films may be sent by email with the registration form:

Attach a high-resolution poster (300 dpi recommended), trailer or other materials.
c) Screenings will take place during the 21st FESTIMATGE – Calella Image Festival (11 April to 10 May 2026).
The date, screening location and selected short films will be detailed in the official programme and on the XXI Festimatge website.

NOTES
The authors and producers authorise the dissemination of their short films for the promotion of the Festival and in screenings at cultural events.
The organisation is not responsible for any problems related to the image or copyright of the works submitted.
Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of these rules.
The organisation will resolve any circumstances not covered by these rules.
