The short films can be of any theme and genre, not exceeding 15 minutes in duration, and specifically aimed at an audience of children and youth aged between 3 and 17 years. Short films from any part of the world will be accepted, provided the language is Spanish, either as the original language or dubbed. Despite not having a monetary prize, a winning short film will be designated, voted by the children attending the screenings.

7. Pre-registration will be done exclusively through an ONLINE procedure, and participants must register the short film through one of the following platforms, in addition to completing all required information:

8. The projection copy can be sent through platforms such as VIMEO, WETRANSFER, DRIVE, or similar.

9. The copy submitted in this registration must be the final and definitive copy of the short film. In case of selection, no new versions of the submitted short film will be accepted.

10. The payment of the viewing platform fees is entirely the participant's responsibility and does not guarantee participation in the Festival's official section.

11. Films registered in their original version and containing dialogues in a language other than Spanish or English must be accompanied by subtitles in Spanish or English.

12. No additional documentation needs to be sent until the participant is notified via email that the short film has been selected for the corresponding official section.

13. From all the works received during the registration period, a committee designated by the organization will make a preliminary selection of up to 30 short films in each section. The committee's decisions are final.

Audiovisuals that depict discrimination and human rights violations against women and/or girls, innovative experiences of empowerment, and the fight against social exclusion of women and girls, as well as those promoting or reflecting the advancement of equal opportunities between men and women, will be valued. Works highlighting the contribution of men to achieving gender equality, co-responsibility, and the reconciliation of personal, work, and family life, etc., will also be valued.

15. The organization will personally and in writing (to the contact email provided during registration) notify all participants of the official selection results before public announcement. This notification period will be at least three weeks before the start of the Festival. This list will also be published on the Festival's official website ([www.festivaldecinedelanzarote.com](http://www.festivaldecinedelanzarote.com)) before April 5, 2025.

16. Once notified, selected participants must send the required information and documentation not included in the platforms to lanzaroteinternacionalfilmfest@gmail.com before April 10, 2025. In any case, a projection file of the selected short film with a minimum resolution of "1920 x 1080" in "mov or mp4" format, preferably with the "H.264" codec, must be submitted.

- Works with dialogues or texts in a language other than Spanish or English must include both Spanish and English subtitles (double subtitles), in .srt format or embedded in the image.

Non-compliance with this rule will result in the disqualification of the work. However, the festival organization offers the option to create these subtitles for an additional cost of €10 per work, which must be paid before the work's screening.

JURY

18. To determine the winner in each section, the organization will appoint a specific jury for each section, composed of three members linked to the field of culture and cinema. Except for the children's short film section, where the children themselves will choose the winning work.

19. The jury will be appointed one week before the start of the Festival, and their decisions will be final.
