Festival Start: 05 März 2027      Festival Ende: 13 März 2027

mujerDOC – 10th International Feminist Documentary Film Festival, organized by the NGO Mujeres del Mundo (Women of the World) and the Soria City Council, is a documentary screening platform created to help eliminate gender stereotypes and highlight the role of women in the development of the territories, communities, societies, and countries where they have lived or currently live.

Submitted works must address themes related to the fight for equality and the feminist agenda. Films must be documentaries produced on or after January 1, 2024. There are no minimum or maximum runtime limits. Films must be subtitled in Spanish and/or English. Clean copies (without burned-in subtitles) and two SRT subtitle files (one in Spanish, one in English) must be submitted.

The festival is hopefully scheduled to take place in March 2027 in Soria (Spain).

A festival committee will select the films to be included in a single Official Section, competing for the following awards:

- "Woman" Award: €3,000 (eligible to films directed by women)

- Feature Film Award: €2,000 (60 minutes or longer)

- Short Film Award: €1,000 (up to 59 minutes)
Additional awards may be established in collaboration with other entities.

* Each selected film will receive €150 for its total exhibition at the Festival, covering a maximum of 4 screenings; the specific screening schedule will be communicated to each film in advance.

Geldpreise: 6,000€

The festival, through a Committee, will select films to be part of an Official Section, with the following prizes:

- Woman Award: 3,000 euros (for this award, only films in which the director is a woman will be eligible)

- Long Film Award: 2,000 euros (from 60 minutes)

- Short Film Award: 1,000 euros (up to 59 minutes)

Additional awards may be established in collaboration with other entities.

* Each selected film will receive €150 for its total exhibition at the Festival, covering a maximum of 4 screenings; the specific screening schedule will be communicated to each film in advance.

* The selected films will also participate, if they wish, in the online edition of the contest, through the online cinema platform Filmin. The films can be seen on Filmin during the official festival dates. The benefits obtained will be distributed as follows: 60% for participating documentary films, 40% for Filmin.

MUJERDOC – 10TH INTERNATIONAL FEMINIST DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL: RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.mujerDOC – 10th International Feminist Documentary Film Festival, organized by the NGO Mujeres del Mundo (Women of the World) and the Soria City Council, is a documentary screening platform created to help eliminate gender stereotypes and highlight the role of women in the development of the territories, communities, societies, and countries where they have lived or currently live.

3. Participation in the Festival is open to all individuals and groups, regardless of nationality or place of residence. Participants may submit more than one work; films need not be premieres and may have previously won awards at other festivals. Entrants must hold the screening rights for the film in Spain.

4. Registration must be completed via the FESTHOME
platform. Registration requires providing film details (technical specifications, country and year of production, synopsis) and a permanent download link with no expiration date (to allow the Selection Committee to view the film online after the registration deadline). Registration fees charged by the platforms will be used to cover the Festival's management, screening, projection, and promotional costs.

5. Film submission deadlines are listed on the registration platforms; the submission period runs from July 15 to October 31, 2026.

6. The festival is hopefully scheduled to take place in March 2027 in Soria (Spain). Should exceptional circumstances prevent the festival from being held on these dates, advance notice will be provided via social media and the press.

8. Each selected film will receive €150 for its total exhibition at the Festival, covering a maximum of 4 screenings; the specific screening schedule will be communicated to each film in advance.

9. Selected films must submit a high-quality digital copy for screening up to a maximum of 4 times (1 screening at the Soria cinema and 3 additional screenings as part of MUJERDOC showcases in other cities).

10. Selected films are also expected to participate—if the filmmakers so desire—in the online edition of the festival via the online film platform Filmin. Films will be available for viewing on Filmin during dates determined by the festival. Revenue generated will be distributed as follows: 60% to the participating documentaries and 40% to Filmin.

11. Participation in the festival implies authorization for the free use of images and excerpts (max. 3 minutes) from the film for press, print or digital publications, social media, television broadcasts, etc.

12. The organizers reserve the right to modify any aspect of these rules should circumstances require it; any such changes will be communicated in a timely manner.

13. Participation in this competition implies acceptance of these rules.
