The festival "Rencontres du cinéma latino américain" organized by France Amérique Latine Comité Bordeaux Gironde is 43 years old.

The missions developed since the creation of this event are:

- To make the Latin American continent known: its cultures, its struggles, its peculiarities...
- To increase the visibility of little-known works.
- To share the political and artistic visions of Latin American countries.

The feature film program is divided into two categories: films in competition and those not participating in the competition. Depending on the year, the film committee reserves the right to add a category to the selection.

The film committee will decide the dates and times of the screenings of each film.

- Best fiction feature film

The films receive an award of 500€.
Jury Award :
- Best documentary feature film

Registration Rules

I.Conditions of participation

Films whose director resides in Latin America or which deal with an aspect of Latin America are eligible to participate.

No reportage, institutional or advertising films will be accepted.

2. Minimum length: 60 minutes.

3. Year of production: 2023-2026

4. language: Spanish, Portuguese or French

5. Films in a native language (Quechua, Aymara...) will also be accepted as long as there is a subtitled copy in French/Spanish or english or a dialogue list with timecode in one of the previously mentioned languages.

7. All copies of the films submitted, whether selected or not, will become part of the archives of the "Rencontres du cinéma latino-américain".

8. Participants will receive the results of the selection by e-mail.

9. The directors of the selected films authorize France Amérique Latine Comité Bordeaux-Gironde to use images and excerpts of their film for press and promotional purposes of the event.

10. The directors of the selected films authorize France Amérique Latine Comité Bordeaux Gironde to hold two more screenings of their film within the framework of screenings organized by the association outside of the "Rencontres du cinéma latino américain" during the years 2025 and 2026.

11. The directors of the selected films authorize France Amérique Latine Comité Bordeaux Gironde to screen their film in the framework of school screenings during the years 2025-2026.

12. Directors whose films have been selected may request from France Amérique Latine Comité Bordeaux Gironde a certificate of participation in the "Rencontres du cinéma latino-américain".

13. By registering, the directors accept the conditions of participation.

14. Once selected, no film may be withdrawn from the Competition.

II.Necessary documents

Reception until November 30, 2025.

For selected films :

o A screening copy. Supported formats: DCP, MP4 Full HD.

o If a copy with French subtitles is available, this copy will be sent.

o 6 photographs of the documentary and one of the director (JPEG format, 300 DPI) by e-mail as an attachment, for publication in the program, on the "Rencontres du cinéma latino-américain" website and in the press.

o A poster

o A teaser in MP4 Full HD, preferably with French subtitles or no subtitles

o Any communication material (articles, interviews...) will be welcome.

Receipt of screening copies until January 31th, 2026.
