Festival start: 06 October 2025
Festival end: 10 October 2025
Following the success of the first edition, we are organizing the Second Edition of the Majadahonda International Social Film Festival (MISFE'25). We firmly believe that cinema is a tool for social transformation and that by promoting the dissemination of critical and high-quality films, we can educate and raise awareness within the community about important social issues.
MISFE'25 not only promises to be a showcase for cinematic talent but also addresses and highlights social issues of interest, as films can serve as educational tools and catalysts for dialogue on relevant topics.
We aim to contribute to the development of Majadahonda and enrich its cultural offerings, as the diversity of films presented at the festival can enhance the community’s cultural life by exposing residents to various stories, perspectives, and artistic expressions.
We believe that cinema holds a unique power to touch our emotions and foster empathy. Therefore, celebrating this festival will give us the opportunity to connect more deeply with stories that reflect the diversity of our experiences and inspire us to understand and appreciate the richness of the human condition.
Through the short films participating in this second edition, we will explore and celebrate diversity in all its forms: cultural, social, racial, and more. By highlighting diverse narratives, the festival will promote inclusion and mutual understanding, building bridges between communities.
The selected films will not only entertain but also inspire. Through stories of resilience, activism, and positive change, the festival will serve as a platform for sharing ideas.
For this Second Edition of MISFE, we are launching a parallel School Film section. In the First Edition, the “Sonsoles San Román” Award for Best School Short Film was presented. This year, we seek to give this category its own identity by increasing the visibility and participation of works created in primary, secondary, and high schools, as well as vocational and specialized educational centers.
Among all the Finalist Short Films, the Jury will select the winning Short Films of the Festival in the following categories:

For the School Cinema Section, a specific Jury will be established to select the winners in the following categories:
