International Festival for Debut Feature and Short Films.

1. RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.1 EL NOVELÍSIMO International Debut Film Festival in Extremadura will be held from the 23rd to the 30th of July 2018 in Hervás, Cáceres, Spain.

2. CATEGORIES

The following prizes will be given to talented new filmmakers:

National Debut Feature Length Film Award (more than 30 minutes)

National Debut Short Film Award (up to 30 minutes)

Regional Debut Short Film Award (up to 30 minutes)

International Debut Short Film Award (up to 30 minutes)

2.1 For feature and short films, we require a screener in DVD format.

2.2 The organization reserves the right to carry out modifications of any of the festival sections based on the amount of works received.

2.3 All national films must be in either Spanish or in any of Spain’s official languages subtitled in Spanish. Non-Spanish language works must have English subtitles at the time submitted.

3.SUBMISSION LINKS

You can submit your short or feature film through any of the following sites:

a) Register online at Festhome. They also allow the use of DVD or online viewing links. A participant who submits her/his work online through this site does not need to submit anything else by post or email.

3.2 All expenses for returning the material is also the responsibility of their owner.

3.3 The deadline for the consideration of works will be 13rd May 2017.

3.4 All of the participant’s works in the festival will be used exclusively for cultural promotion with free entry to the exhibition of the film.

4. NOTIFICATION OF SELECTION DECISIONS

4.1 All filmmakers selected to participate will be notified by email or phone. (Please ensure your contact details are up to date.)

4.2 If a filmmaker has not been notified, it is understood that her/his work has not been selected.

5. JURY

5.1 Awards are adjudicated by a Jury, consisting of five professionals from the communication, artistic, cultural and film industry with no connection to any of the films presented in the festival.

5.2 The Jury’s processes, discussions and deliberations are strictly confidential and no discussion will be had regarding their decisions.

6. PRIZES

6.1 The prize amounts will be disclosed before the deadline of the submission of the DVD screeners.

6.2 The award recipient is responsible for all applicable taxes, customs, tariffs, insurance and all other similar charges or costs.

7. ADDITIONAL TERMS

Submission and participation in EL NOVELÍSIMO International Debut Film Festival in Extremadura represents an agreement with the regulations set forth in this document.
