RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.Objective

The Asturian Film Festival aims to promote and disseminate audiovisual creation by Asturian professionals and creators, as well as to highlight film productions linked to the Principality of Asturias.

2.Participation Dates

Works completed between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2026, may be submitted.
The submission period will be open until December 31, 2026 (inclusive).

3.Sections

The festival will feature two main sections:

Feature Film Showcase:

A non-competitive section dedicated to screening Asturian feature films or those produced in Asturias.

Official Short Film Competition:

A competition dedicated to short films that meet the requirements set forth in these rules and regulations.

4.Participants

Eligible participants include:

Directors born or resident in Asturias.

Productions with Asturian ties (total or partial production carried out in Asturias, or majority participation of an Asturian technical/artistic crew).

5.Requirements for Works

Feature films must have a running time of over 60 minutes.

Short films must not exceed 59 minutes in length.

Works of fiction, documentary, or animation will be accepted.

Commercial advertisements and music videos will not be accepted.

6.Submission

Each participant may submit a maximum of two works.

7.Selection

A committee appointed by the organization will select the participating works for both the showcase and the official section. The committee's decision will be final.
The authors of the selected works will be notified by email.

8.Award

The Official Short Film Competition will feature a single prize:

Best Asturian Short Film Award, endowed with 250 euros and a certificate.

The award may be declared void if the jury deems it appropriate. Feature films are not eligible for awards.

9.Screening and Rights

The organization reserves the right to exhibit the selected works during the festival dates and at subsequent touring showcases, always for cultural and non-profit purposes.

The authors retain full rights to their works.

10.Acceptance of Rules

Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these rules and regulations.
Any unforeseen issue will be resolved by the festival organization.
