RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Objective

The Asturian Film Festival aims to promote and disseminate audiovisual works created by Asturian professionals and filmmakers, as well as to highlight film productions connected to the Principality of Asturias.

2. Eligibility Dates

Eligible works must have been completed between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025.
The submission period will remain open until December 31, 2025 (inclusive).

3. Sections

The festival will include two main sections:

Feature Film Showcase:
A non-competitive section dedicated to the screening of Asturian feature films or films produced in Asturias.

Official Short Film Competition:
A competitive section for short films that meet the requirements established in these rules.

4. Participants

Eligible to participate:

Directors born or residing in Asturias.

Productions with an Asturian connection (wholly or partially produced in Asturias, or with a majority of Asturian technical and/or artistic crew involvement).

5. Requirements for Films

Feature films must have a minimum running time of 60 minutes.

Short films must not exceed 59 minutes in length.

Works of fiction, documentary, or animation will be accepted.

Advertising works or music videos will not be accepted.

6. Submission and Delivery

Each participant may submit up to two works.

7. Selection

A committee appointed by the organization will select the films to be included in both the showcase and the official competition section.
The committee’s decision will be final and not subject to appeal.
Authors of selected works will be notified by email.

8. Award

The Official Short Film Competition will include a single award:

???? Best Asturian Short Film Award – €500 and an official certificate.

The jury reserves the right to declare the award void if deemed appropriate.
Feature films will not be eligible for awards.

9. Screenings and Rights

The organization reserves the right to screen the selected works during the festival dates and in possible future itinerant showcases, always for cultural and non-profit purposes.
Authors will retain full rights to their works.

10. Acceptance of the Rules

Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these rules.
Any situation not covered herein will be resolved by the festival’s organizing committee.
