“Cinechicú Short Film Festival”, organized annually by the “Instituto de Cultura y Turismo de Tenjo - IMCTT”, is an event dedicated to the exhibition of short audiovisual films that allows the public to approach and enjoy the creativity and diversity of cinematographic language, while providing scenarios for meeting, reflection and training around the audiovisual.
The sixth edition of the festival will take place between October 17 to 24, 2025 in an itinerant manner in Tenjo - Cundinamarca under the slogan “NARRATIVES THAT INSPIRE THROUGH SPORT,” focusing—but not exclusively—on works that address topics related to sports, fostering a culture of life, recreation, and collective care.
Audiovisual works will be received about free themes and genres between 3 and 30 minutes long, produced from 2023 onwards.

Cash Prizes: 3,038€
In 2024, the festival will award the following cash prizes:
* Best International Short Film: $4,000,000 COP
* Best National Short Film, $4,000,000 COP
* Youth Short Film from Cundinamarca: $2,500,000 COP
* Best Tenjano Short Film, $5,000,000 COP
PARAGRAPH ONE. The jury of the SIXTH CINECHICÚ SHORT FILM FESTIVAL, NARRATIVES THAT INSPIRE FROM SPORTS - 2025 may award certifications to different short films to the winners of each category, recognizing specific aspects.
PARAGRAPH TWO: All prizes will be awarded exclusively to the director or producer of the selected short film, upon presentation and photocopy of their identification document and photocopy of the Single Tax Registry, and once the event is over. In the case of minors, the award will be given to their guardian or responsible adult.
The Municipal Institute of Culture and Tourism of Tenjo - IMCTT invites audiovisual directors and producers to participate in the VI CINECHICÚ SHORT FILM FESTIVAL “NARRATIVES THAT INSPIRE THROUGH SPORTS” - 2025. CATEGORIES:
* International Short Film: Free-form audiovisual short films, between 3 and 30 minutes long, created by filmmakers over 18 years of age and of a nationality other than Colombia.
* National Short Film: Free-form audiovisual short films, between 3 and 30 minutes long, created by Colombian filmmakers over 18 years of age.
* Cundinamarca Youth Short Film: Free-form audiovisual short films, between 3 and 30 minutes long, created by filmmakers between the ages of 12 and 28 residing in the department of Cundinamarca.
* Tenjano Short Film: Free-form audiovisual short films, between 3 and 30 minutes long, created by filmmakers over 18 years of age residing in the municipality of Tenjo, Cundinamarca.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WORKS:
* Short films between 3 and 30 minutes in length.
- Short films from any of the following film genres: Fiction, Documentary, Experimental, Animation.
- Productions made after January 1, 2023.
- Completed works in a minimum resolution of Full HD 1920 x 1080 (with free registration format).
- Short films in languages other than Spanish must be subtitled in Spanish.
- The short films eligible for this version of the festival are open to any subject. However, those films that address the central theme "NARRATIVES THAT INSPIRE THROUGH SPORT" will receive additional weight in the evaluation process, provided they meet the participation and quality requirements, addressing different aspects of sports practices, and promoting a culture of life, recreation, and collective care.
NOTE: Commercial audiovisuals (for branding), institutional videos, and television news reports will not be considered in the selection.
PARTICIPANTS:
The following are eligible to participate in this call:
* Natural persons, producers, and filmmakers of Colombian and foreign nationality, according to the specifications for each category (Article 4 of Chapter 1).
* Legal entities, production companies, and/or non-profit entities that hold the rights to promote and distribute the participating short films.
FIRST PARAGRAPH: Contractors, administrators, and/or trainers of the Municipal Institute of Culture and Tourism of Tenjo may participate in the promotion and distribution of short films, but they will not receive any incentives or recognition.

* Administrative Document Correction: October 1-2.
* Publication of short films approved for compliance with administrative and technical requirements (technical team): October 8.
* Reception of Screening Copies: October 9-15.
* Jury Evaluation: October 16-22.
* Short Film Screening: October 17-23.
* Awarding and publication of winning short films: October 24.

Submissions for short films will be accepted until Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Colombian time.
Submissions will not be accepted by any other means or outside of the stipulated dates.
PARAGRAPH ONE: By registering for the call for entries, directors and/or producers agree to submit their short films to the VI CINECHICÚ 2025 SHORT FILM FESTIVAL "NARRATIVES THAT INSPIRE FROM SPORTS" without charging exhibition, promotion, or circulation fees.
PARAGRAPH TWO: Short films will be legally registered provided they comply with the deadlines and submit all the information stipulated by the Festival organizers.
