The International Film Festival of Sax, in the province of Alicante (Spain), Goya Awards qualifier, stems from the initiative of the filmmaker Miguel Herrero Herrero. Since its creation in 2006,
the festival has the support of Sax City Council but is also backed by: Generalitat Valenciana, Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche (UMH), Universidad de Alicante, (UA), Diputación de Alicante, ... This, the fourteenth edition of the Film Festival, is the online special edition, a competition for the best short film and project feature films. Encounters and a Master Class for Filmmakers are held hosted by recognized professionals such as the actors Aldo Sambrell, Carlos Santos, Raúl García, Gonzalo García Pelayo, the composer Luis Ivars, the writer and critic Carlos Aguilar...

18th INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL SAX
JULY 28 TO AUGUST 3, 2024

- The 18th International Film Festival Sax (FICS) is organized by the city of Sax, Cinestesia and Cinematographic and Audiovisual Association Sax (ACAS).


- Anyone over age whatever their nationality and place of residence, except for those related to the organization of this festival that can not be awarded may participate.


- Each participant may submit as many films as you want. The theme and genre of the short films will be free.


- They may only be projected works whose dialogues and / or subtitles are in Castilian, pose minimal quality and do not disseminate obscene messages against human rights ... and have not been presented in previous editions of this Festival.


- Shorts are permitted only for a maximum period of 40 min. and its date after January 1, 2022 completion.

- Feature film projects will be accepted at any stage of production and that present a teaser, scenes or videos of the project as well as the complementary documentation that they consider: treatment, designs, storyboard, etc.


- The films may be registered until June 14th 2024.


- It may propose also creating new special mentions prizes ... also declare prizes void but reach the required quality.


- All information and materials may be included in the publications of the Festival or even other and disseminated by other means.


- Short films submitted will be screened in person and will be announced in due course in media.


- Participation in this Festival implies the assignment of the broadcasting rights of the images sent within the scope of the Festival itself, which will be archived by the organization if deemed appropriate and by mutual agreement with the owners of the work. If applicable, certify adherence to SGAE or another copyright management entity. At this point, it will not be considered any obligation on the part of the Festival if the information is not provided.

- All participants, by the fact presented, fully accept these terms of participation, as well as rulings made on any aspect thereof.


- Registration for this Festival means total acceptance of the bases.
