THE FESTIVAL:

The International “Cinema Povero” Film Festival is open to everybody: rich film-makers, poor film-makers of any gender or religion all welcome provided they have developed a beautiful, original idea on a limited budget.

Cash Prizes: 4,400€

AWARDS:

Best Italian Short Film - € 1000;
Best Non-Italian Short Film - € 1000;
Best Documentaries - € 300;
Best Animation - € 300;
Best short film created with AI - € 300;
“City of Ispra " Award - € 500;
Best Screenplay - € 1000;
Other special awards will be decided by the international
jury.

8 - DELIVERY OF PRIZES:
Awards for Italian authors: will be given only to directors,
screenwriters or their delegates,
present at the awards night. They will NOT be sent or
credited.
Cash prizes cannot be credited to winners residing in
countries affected by the international
embargo or their delegates resident in countries free from
bind.

2-REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

Competitors who wish to participate can send the link of the work from viewing, using international platforms:

Movies must be downloadable.

3 - CATEGORIES:
- ITALIAN SHORT FILMS: (fiction only)
- NON-ITALIAN SHORT FILMS: (fiction only)
- DOCUMENTARIES
- ANIMATION
- SHORT FILMS CREATED WITH AI
- SCREENPLAY: (See new published regulations.)
Film: maximum duration: 20 minutes, made after January 1, 2024
Subtitles: Italian subtitles will be greatly appreciated by the audience.
Films participating in or winning other festivals are admitted, excluding those presented in previous editions of this Festival
The rights of the work will remain the property of the author or those for him.

4-SCREENPLAY COMPETITION
maximum length of works: from 20 pages, translated into italian:
Are allowed: scripts translated into Italian using AI or others translator.

Are not allowed: scripts already winners of other competitions or submitted to the our Festival in previous competitions;

Upon request, scripts can be sent in PDF format directly to the Festival's email address with payment of the registration fee via PayPal.

5-SUBMISSION deadline:
The deadline for sending the works is set for June 15, 2027- hours 23:59 C.E.T..

6-SECRETARIAT CONTRIBUTION:
The secretarial contribution for all sections (films and screenplays) is di
€ 10,00 (ten);
$ 12,00 (twelve);
CNY 75 (seventyfive);
The contribution will not be made for any reason.

FINALISTS:
The Jury will compile an "Official Selection" of the best
films (approximately 10% of the total
in each category).
The films that will make up the list of FINALISTS will be
chosen from the "Official Selection."
Only the finalist films will be screened for the audience,
who will choose the winner by voting.
Finalist filmmakers will be notified via the email address
provided during registration.
