Festival start: 23 February 2024      Festival end: 03 March 2024

Our seventh edition of Ibizacinefest, as the new qualifying festival for the 2023 Goya Awards for the fiction and documentary short film categories, has been a resounding success with the public, the press and films released in Spain. With 10 days of projections on the island of Ibiza and reaching all of Spain with our online programming through FILMIN.

We have once again fulfilled our two parallel objectives of bringing to our islands the most courageous and cryptic auteur cinema, and at the same time, as a markedly territorial festival, quality independent cinema that will reach commercial theaters on the peninsula, but never in Ibiza. .

The 2023 edition has been a great success with the public and the press, confirming the IBZCF as one of the main emerging festivals in Spain.

We believe in a committed auteur cinema, with necessary points of view, that can move in substance and form, outside the norms of commercial cinema, with total creative freedom.

IBZCF is once again a 100% face-to-face festival, but Filmin continues to be essential for us, giving the possibility of having viewers throughout Spain.
We offer national online visibility to the films that so desire (14 feature films in the 2023 edition), with various possibilities of permanence during the 10 days of the festival, even offering 24-hour premieres.
Filmin also connects us with the industry and our desire to participate and help in the distribution of these films, since some of them, discovered at the IBZCF, although they are state premieres, obtain contracts and are included in Filmin's catalogue.

Our Distribution Award continues in collaboration with #ConUnPack and the Mexican film RICOCHET, thanks to its award, will be released in theaters and platforms thanks to its presence at IBZCF22.
Our Pitching and advisory sections for four feature film projects have continued online, supervised by Ángela Bosch, and we premiere SORBELTZA, the short film that won our script contest at IBZCF22 and received a cash prize for its co-production.
Our new programs dedicated exclusively to secondary school students has been one of the strong points of this edition, the acceptance of the students to the programming presented has been one of our great satisfactions, after all they will be the future public of the festival and less conventional and commercial cinema, but of great authorial quality and social commitment, which we strive to program.
The same acceptance is repeated in our second edition of CINEKIDS, a program of animated short films for the little ones that they will enjoy in 4 municipalities of Ibiza.
We will continue in our 8th edition the intention set in 2023, to release feature films in Spain and help them in their distribution, occupy the 3 commercial theaters on the Island, program around 100 films of proven quality, auteur, independent, brave, committed... . .and therefore cryptic, which otherwise would not reach our Island.
Throughout the year we will continue to develop an audience thanks to our educational programs.
