inDOCumentari is a film festival fully dedicated to the documentary genre, held in the city of Sabadell. Its mission is to promote and showcase documentary cinema as a tool for artistic expression, social reflection, and critical observation of contemporary reality. The festival presents a diverse selection of short and feature-length documentaries from around the world, fostering cultural exchange and dialogue among filmmakers, audiences, and audiovisual professionals.
The winning documentaries (Best Feature and Best Short Documentary) will receive a commemorative statuette. The organization reserves the right to add new awards and replace them with others of equal or greater value, provided there is a justified cause. All decisions made by the Festival and the jury are final.
The 5th edition of the festival will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Registration deadline: May 29, 2026.
Sections
Best Documentary Feature Film (minimum 60 minutes and maximum 90 minutes).
Best Documentary Short Film (minimum 10 minutes and maximum 30 minutes).
Admission Criteria
Films that can be considered documentary due to their content.
Produced after January 2024.
Documentaries must be submitted in their original language and must have subtitles in Spanish or Catalan when this is not the language of the film.
The Festival will not accept unfinished productions.
Participants guarantee that they own all rights for their exhibition.
The festival will not pay exhibition fees.
Documentaries that do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
How to Submit a Documentary
Submissions will be made online through the Festhome platform.
DVDs or other physical formats will not be accepted.
Only timely submissions will be accepted, and incomplete applications will not be considered.
Registration Fee
To register for the Festival, you must pay a registration fee to cover processing and viewing of the film. Registration fees are non-refundable and vary depending on the presentation date and length of the documentary.
Selection Process
The Festival organizers and several industry professionals will select the six documentaries (three short films and three feature films) that will participate in the Festival.
The Festival organizers are under no obligation to disclose the reasons for their selection or the rejection of submitted films.
The Festival will announce the selected documentaries on June 1.
Requirements for Selected Films
The Festival will not accept copies that do not meet the minimum exhibition requirements.
The selected documentaries will be screened in their original language and must have subtitles in Spanish or Catalan when this is not the language of the film.
The copy sent to the Festival must be in DCP format.
The selected documentaries will provide the organizers with promotional materials (stills, digital poster, synopsis, etc.), trailers, and other materials so that the Festival can promote the film.

Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
