Participation Rules - Mini Llanes de Cine

1. Festival Objective

Mini Llanes de Cine is a festival dedicated to promoting children's cinema, with the aim of sparking interest in storytelling and audiovisual culture among young audiences. The festival will showcase a selection of films and shorts suitable for all ages.

2. Festival Date and Location

The festival will take place in Llanes from December 12 to 14, 2024, featuring screenings and activities designed for children and their families.

3. Sections

The festival will have the following sections:

Feature Films: Works with a duration of over 45 minutes, designed for children’s enjoyment.
Short Films: Works with a maximum duration of 20 minutes, focused on themes or formats that appeal to young audiences.

4. Participation Requirements

Audience Age: Content must be suitable for all ages, with a particular recommendation for children.

Content Categories: Submissions can include feature films and short films in animation, fiction, or documentary genres.

5. Registration and Submission

Registration deadline: The call for entries is open until December 1, 2024.

Submission Process: Interested participants must register through the platform designated by the festival, providing a screening link or file in a compatible format.

6. Format Requirements for Short and Feature Films

Works must meet a minimum quality standard for image and sound, preferably in high-resolution digital format (1080p or higher).

7. Film Selection and Jury

Selected works will be evaluated by a specialized jury, with a possible children’s jury to assess feature and short films from a young audience perspective.

8. Awards and Recognitions

Awards will be given in both categories: Best Children’s Feature Film and Best Children’s Short Film, along with special mentions as deemed appropriate by the jury.

9. Rights and Responsibilities

Participants must guarantee exhibition rights for their works and allow their use exclusively within the festival framework, for promotion or non-commercial exhibition.
