SPAESAMENTI - MEETINGS ON BORDER DOCUMENTARIES / CALL FOR SHORT FILM DOCUMENTARIES ABOUT "HABITAT BORDERS"

Spaesamenti - Meetings about Border Documentaries is a project that promotes documentary cinema and the theme of the frontier, understood not only as a historical and geographical limit but also as a social, cultural, linguistic and ethical boundary, to reflect on the contemporary. It is a festival that promotes a dissemination of cinematographic works and a training course that offers the opportunity to gain experience in the organization of cultural activities, film analysis and critical writing. The public realization of Spaesamenti Festival is expected for the month of April 2021 which will take place digitally (online).

AWARDS

Award for the best short film awarded by a jury of experts (authors, cultural operators, teachers, critics): € 500,00.

Special prize awarded by the students' editorial staff: € 300.00.

The prizes are to be considered at the discretion of the juries.


AUTHORIZATIONS
Registration for the competition implies acceptance of the regulation in all its parts, the authorization for public viewing for which the author will not receive fees or rights of any kind and for any reason, and the accuracy of all the information requested.
Registration also implies acceptance of the screening conditions.

COPYRIGHT & CONTRACTUAL TERMS
By registering the film in the "Spaesamenti - Meetings on Border Documentaries" project, you accept all legal liability in relation to the resulting intellectual property. The participant and all producers in connection with the project undertake to safeguard and indemnify "Spaesamenti - Meetings on Border Documentaries", Associazione Centro di Cooperazione Culturale and any representative or affiliate from claims, damages, losses and expenses (including not only legal and court costs), attributable to any claim of copyright, registered trademarks, acknowledgments, advertising, screening and damages or losses of the films presented.

Short film selection
The selection is open until February 28, 2021.
The selection will consider documentary works of a maximum duration of 30 minutes on the theme "habitat boundaries". From planetary boundaries to social boundaries, from the global to the local dimension, from public to private space, in a word: our habitat, understood as Planet Earth and at the same time as Home (territory and domestic space). Each author can develop and decline the theme freely according to his own discretion and sensitivity. The films presented must be in Italian, or present subtitling in Italian, and having been produced during the three-year period 2018-2020. Preview or unpublished is not required. The work and all related material can be sent through the Festhome portal

All accepted films will be screened in digital mode (online) only once during the festival with the possibility of accessing the viewing for 48 hours from the launch of the public screening.
The selection of the films is carried out by the project staff who may make use of the participation of some members of the editorial staff participating in the training course.

Spaesamenti does not provide a "fee" for screening costs and the registration of the film in the competition implies the acceptance that the screenings will not be paid.
Spaesamenti provides a prize for the best short film awarder by a technical jury.
A second prize will be awarded by the editorial staff participating in the training course.


SIGNING UP
Registration for the competition is €10 for each short film. Payment methods accepted: Paypal and bank transfer.

SELECTION
The organization undertakes to communicate to the participants, by means of communication via email and telephone (sms or wattaps) by 15 March 2021, the decisions of the selection committee.
