The Crevillent Short Film Festival, organized by the Creadores de Crevillent Association, announces the call for entries to compete for the awards of its seventh edition, to be held on June 19 and 20, 2026.
The aim of the competition is to promote short films. Culture is considered a source of wealth and, in this sense, strengthening the local cultural offer also contributes to the economic and social development of our municipality. In this seventh edition there will be three different categories: Official Section, Local Section, and Local Youth Section.

The Jury will grant the following awards:
Vila de Crevillent Award for Best Short Film (fiction or animation, free theme): €1,000 and trophy.
Audience Award for Best Short Film (fiction or animation, free theme): €300 and trophy. If the Audience Award coincides with the Jury’s choice, the audience prize will go to the second most-voted film.
Best Crevillent Short Film Award for the best fiction, documentary, or animation short related to Crevillent: €300 and trophy.
ACC Award for the Most Creative Short Film: €200 and certificate.
BENEFICIARIES AND ENTRY CONDITIONS FOR THE OFFICIAL SECTION
The call will accept exclusively short films from the Valencian Community. In order to verify this condition, at least one of the following requirements must be met:
The director of the short film was born in the Valencian Community or resided in the Valencian Community during the production of the short film.
The producer of the short film was born in the Valencian Community or resided in the Valencian Community during the production of the short film.
The screenwriter of the short film was born in the Valencian Community or resided in the Valencian Community during the production of the short film.
The production company of the short film belongs to the Valencian Community.
The works may be fiction or animation and may deal with any subject matter.
All producers or filmmakers who hold the rights to the submitted works may participate.
The Festival organization may request documentation proving the place of residence or birth of the aforementioned persons, as well as documents proving that the production company is registered in the Valencian Community.
The works must have been produced and premiered after January 1, 2025. The Festival organization may request proof of the dates and locations of the premieres to verify that the film meets this condition.
The maximum running time of the short films must not exceed 20 minutes.
Each participant may submit as many works as they wish. Each work submitted to the competition must be sent independently.
BENEFICIARIES AND ENTRY CONDITIONS FOR THE LOCAL SECTION
The call will accept exclusively short films related to Crevillent. In order to verify this condition, at least one of the following requirements must be met:
The director of the short film was born in Crevillent or resided in the town during the production of the short film.
The producer of the short film was born in Crevillent or resided in the town during the production of the short film.
The screenwriter of the short film was born in Crevillent or resided in the town during the production of the short film.
The production company of the short film is based in Crevillent.
The short film fully addresses an aspect related to Crevillent or deals with a local subject.
The short film was filmed in Crevillent in at least 75% of its locations.
The main character is played by an actor or actress from Crevillent.
The works may be fiction, documentary or animation, and may deal with any subject matter.
All producers or filmmakers who hold the rights to the submitted works may participate.
The Festival organization may request documentation proving the place of residence or birth of the aforementioned persons, as well as documents proving that the production company is registered in Crevillent.

BENEFICIARIES AND ENTRY CONDITIONS FOR THE LOCAL YOUTH SECTION
This category is exclusively aimed at students from Secondary Education centres, including ESO, Bachillerato, Vocational Training programmes or Special Education, from the Valencian Community.
Short films must be entirely created by the students, although they may receive support from teachers and staff of the educational centre.
The call will accept exclusively short films related to Crevillent. In order to verify this condition, at least one of the following requirements must be met:
The director of the short film was born in Crevillent or resided in the town during the production of the short film.
In the case of a film directed by a group, it will be accepted if at least 50% of the members were born in Crevillent or reside in the town during the production of the short film.
The screenwriter of the short film was born in Crevillent or resided in the town during the production of the short film.
The educational centre belongs to Crevillent.
The short film fully addresses an aspect related to Crevillent or deals with a local subject.
The short film was filmed in Crevillent in at least 75% of its locations.
The main character is played by an actor or actress from Crevillent.
The works may be fiction, documentary or animation, and may deal with any subject matter.
The Festival organization may request documentation proving the place of residence or birth of the aforementioned persons, as well as documents proving that the production company is registered in Crevillent.

SELECTION
A Selection Committee, composed of professionals from the audiovisual and cultural sector linked to the organization of the Festival, will select, based on artistic quality, the works that will participate in the Festival from among all the submissions received. Their decisions will be final.
The Selection Committee will be composed of the Festival Director and three professionals related to the cultural and film sector.
The authors of the selected works must send the entry form and the authorization of use duly completed to the following email address:

The decisions adopted will be announced from May 22, 2026, through publication on the festival website:

Authors of the selected works will be notified before the festival programme is made public.
Selected participants must confirm their participation by replying to the festival’s email notification and providing a download link for the following materials:

Synopsis
The Festival organization will determine the screening order of the selected works for:
June 19 – Local Section and Local Youth Section
June 20 – Official Section
The organization reserves the right to change the screening schedule if necessary.
A
udiovisual works with significant technical deficiencies will be rejected.
JURY AND awards
The Jury, appointed by the organization and composed of professionals linked to the audiovisual and cultural sectors, will decide the awards among the works participating in the Official Section and the Local Section. Their decisions will be final.
The awards for the Local Section and the Official Section will be announced on Saturday, June 7, after the screening of the short films selected for the Official Section and the winner of the Local Section.
The awards will be presented on the respective days indicated to the winners or to representatives designated by them who are able to attend.
The decisions of the Jury will remain confidential until the official award ceremony, which will take place on the same day as the screenings.
Only the winner(s) of the first prize of the Official Section will be notified in advance so that they may attend the award ceremony.
awards may be declared void if the Jury considers it appropriate. The organization, together with the sponsors, reserves the right to withdraw an award in the event of inappropriate conduct.

Awarded by audience vote to the best fiction or animated short film of any subject.
Prize: €500 and trophy
If the audience vote coincides with the Jury’s winning film, the Audience Award will go to the second most voted film.
Best Crevillent Short Film Award
Best fiction, documentary or animated short film of any subject made by a director, producer or screenwriter from Crevillent, filmed in the town or addressing local themes.
Prize: €500 and trophy
Best Crevillent Youth Short Film Award
Best fiction, documentary or animated short film of any subject made by a young director, producer or screenwriter from Crevillent, filmed in the town or addressing local themes.
Prize: €300 and trophy
Prize payments will be made by bank transfer to the person or production company listed in the entry form.
On Saturday, June 20, before the screening of the short films, a voting method will be provided to all attendees so that they can vote for their favourite film. After the screenings of the selected films and during a musical performance, the audience votes will be counted.
AUTHORIZATION OF USE
Participation in the Festival implies the transfer of screening rights for the submitted works within the context of the Festival. The works may be archived by the organization, if considered appropriate and with the agreement of the rights holders.
Participation also implies the authorization to disseminate the trailers on the festival website and other promotional channels.
The person submitting the work declares that it is their own authorship, direction and production, that it is original, and that it is free of third-party claims.
Without prejudice to the commercial use that the author, director or distributor may make of the awarded work, the organization may reproduce the winning works for archival purposes and for the possible publication of a special DVD/Blu-ray edition including works from different editions of the Crevillent Short Film Festival, always with the authorization of the author, director and distributor.
If applicable, the author must certify membership with SGAE.
If the work is registered with SGAE or another similar entity, the author waives the collection of screening rights for the exhibition of the work in the Festival.
The entry form includes a section titled “authorization of use”. The first clause must be accepted by all submitted works, while the remaining clauses must only be completed by films that receive the aforementioned awards.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES
Participation in the VII Crevillent Short Film Festival implies acceptance of all the provisions contained in these rules, as well as the resolution by the organization of any issue not covered herein.
