Pé na Curta es un festival organizado por la asociación de escaladores Asesou, con motivo de su 20 aniversario. Celebramos la montaña no solo como espacio físico, sino también como inspiración narrativa, cultural y emocional.

El concurso busca obras breves que exploren la relación entre el ser humano y el entorno natural o montañoso, desde el deporte hasta la etnografía, pasando por la aventura, la contemplación o la memoria.

Purpose

Asesou is organizing the Pé na Curta short film festival to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The goal of the festival is to promote and showcase, through short audiovisual works, various mountain-related activities (mountaineering, climbing, caving, canyoning, trail running…), as well as aspects of nature and ethnography linked to mountain environments.

The festival will take place on November 27th, 28th, and 29th, 2025, at the Teatro Principal de Ourense and the Auditorio Municipal de Ourense.


Participants

Participation is open to individuals or teams over the age of 18, of any nationality, residing in Spain.


Film Requirements

Submissions may include documentary or animated short films, with a minimum duration of 1 minute and a maximum of 10 minutes, focusing on mountain activities, nature, or ethnography.

Each participant or team may submit up to three (3) short films.

Works created for advertising or tourism purposes will not be accepted.

Films may be silent or in Galician, Spanish, or other languages.

If the language is not Galician or Spanish, subtitles in one of these two languages are required.

The inclusion of full subtitles or sign language dubbing is encouraged.

subtitles must be submitted in .SRT format (with time codes).

Technical specifications:

Format: HD video .mp4, audio AAC

Recommended resolution: 1920x1080

Minimum resolution: 1280x720

The jury may also grant special mentions if deemed appropriate.

prizes are subject to the applicable tax withholdings.

Any award may be declared void if no entry meets the required standards.

In the event of a tie, the prize may be granted ex aequo (shared between the tied participants).

Selection and Screening

The jury will select the films that will be part of the official selection, which will be screened on November 27th, 28th, and 29th, 2025, during the 20th anniversary celebration of ASESOU.

The winners will be announced on November 29th.

Content considered obscene, violent, sexist, racist, xenophobic, or that violates fundamental rights will be excluded.

The jury’s decision is final and not subject to appeal.


Film Screenings

Selected short films will be screened in person during the festival (November 28th and 29th) and will also be made available online via the Festhome platform.

No exhibition fees or screening royalties will be paid.

The organization reserves the right to reproduce and promote selected and awarded films in cultural initiatives, social media, and other current or future communication channels it deems appropriate.


Jury Composition

The jury will be composed of five individuals with experience and recognition in the audiovisual, creative, and technical fields, all of them directly or indirectly linked to the world of mountains and nature.

Their role will be to watch the selected works, assess their merits, and decide the awards established in these regulations.
The names of the jury members will be made public before the start of the festival.


Legal Notice

Participants declare that they are the sole holders of the intellectual property rights of the submitted work and that there are no legal or contractual limitations that would restrict its public exhibition.

They also affirm that they possess the necessary authorizations for all third-party content used in the work (music, images, graphics, etc.).

The organization (Pé na Curta and ASESOU) will be held harmless from any liability arising from claims related to intellectual property rights by third parties.

Participation in Pé na Curta implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
