Producers, directors, and other professionals with projects in development, pre-production, or production are selected, primarily feature films and documentaries with international co-production potential. The call is launched through local or national entities, which manage registration and participant selection. Selected participants join networking activities, presentations, and meetings during the festival. Applications typically require submitting a project technical sheet, dossier, CV, and motivation letter by the established deadline. It is a unique opportunity to connect with the global film industry and boost project visibility and funding.

SSIFF - Meet Them!
The WMMINTL Script Competition 2026 is an international short film screenplay contest organized within the We Make Movies ecosystem. The submission deadline is June 21, 2026, and it is associated with a festival taking place from November 7 to November 10, 2026. It is open to global applicants with no nationality restrictions and focuses exclusively on fiction projects.
The competition accepts short film scripts with a maximum length of 30 pages. Selected works go through an evaluation process that leads to five finalists, whose screenplays are performed as live table reads during the festival. Winners are then selected from these finalists during the event.
The program falls under a screenplay competition format within the independent film industry, emphasizing live script readings as part of its showcase structure.

WMMINTL - Script Competition
LUSCA, International Caribbean Fantastic Film Festival (LUSCA) is presented by Puerto Rico Film Academy, Inc. Its main objective is to promote the cinematographic art through the presentation of high quality films. LUSCA is an event that is celebrated in different places in Puerto Rico and lasts fifteen (15) days.
The script must be in one of the genres promoted by the LUSCA Fantastic Film Fest (fantasy, science fiction, comedy, bizarre).

LUSCA Film Fest - Screenplay Contest
Lab Cerdanya 2025 is an audiovisual creation lab organized by the Cerdanya Film Festival, inspired by the Kino Kabaret movement. It will take place in Bellver de Cerdanya from August 11 to 20, 2025, promoting collaboration among audiovisual creators aged 18 to 40, regardless of experience.
Participants will create short films in a natural setting, with access to workshops and collaborative activities. Both technical (sound, editing, camera) and artistic (directing, acting, art) profiles are welcome.
The standard fee is €400, including full board and lodging. There are 20 partially funded spots at €150. Accommodation is offered August 23–29 at Cal Caló de Cortariu, though this may relate to a separate event phase.
The lab emphasizes community, experimentation, and inclusion over competition or hierarchy.

FICC - LabPRO / OFFLab
The Cerdanya Film Festival announces the call for Pitch Links, its professional networking space for audiovisual projects in pre-production or production stages. It targets feature films, short films, series, and transmedia productions in fiction, animation, or documentary.
Projects with a gender perspective, historical themes, social outlook, or sex-affectivity, and those written and/or directed by women, will be especially valued. Dossiers must be submitted in Catalan or Spanish.
Selected projects will be presented on August 2, 2025, in Puigcerdà, during a pitching session before industry professionals. Participants will receive personalized mentorship and a €100 grant to facilitate attendance.
