Our festival seeks to strengthen and revitalize the native languages of Peru and Latin America through the exhibition and creation of audiovisual works in native languages. We are an independent festival, we believe that the audiovisual language is a great ally for the preservation of our languages, memory, identity and cultural heritage of our Latin American peoples. We are the only Film Festival in Peru dedicated to cinema in native languages. Welcome.
The festival will take place from March 14 to 18, 2023 in person and online, and is organized by the production company Moche Films in collaboration with various groups, people, schools, institutions, associations, groups and platforms at a national and international level. international. This year's theme or theme is called WEAVING NETWORKS and will pay homage to all those indigenous people and leaders who work in defense of human rights and sustainable projects for the conservation of our planet. The festival will organize film screenings, artistic activities and Community workshops in different indigenous towns and cities in Peru and Latin America to make visible the attacks and disappearances of their indigenous leaders and their struggles to defend their languages and cultures.
The jury will be made up of personalities from the arts, cinema and national and international culture, who will award the following prizes:

Best National Fiction Film: Feature Film and Short Film. (Trophy and certificate).
Best national documentary film: Feature film and short film. (Trophy and certificate).
Special mention of the Jury: Feature film and short film. (Certificate).

CONTEST BASES
The application is free. Short and feature films of: Fiction, Documentary and Animation participate.
CATEGORIES IN COMPETITION
NATIONAL COMPETITION: for documentary, fiction and animated short and feature films spoken in native languages, completed in 2018 to date. Institutional or advertising pieces are not allowed.
LATIN AMERICAN COMPETITION: for documentary, fiction and animated short and feature films spoken in native languages of Latin America except Peru, completed in 2018 to date. Institutional or advertising pieces are not allowed.
LATIN AMERICAN LOOKS: for documentary, fiction, and short and feature-length animation films with indigenous themes, not necessarily spoken in native Latin American languages, completed in 2018 to date. Institutional or advertising pieces are not allowed.
GENERAL CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION
Participation is open to all production formats, but for exhibition purposes the film file in digital format will be used.
The same film may not be registered in more than one edition of the Festival. The subtitles of the films must be in Spanish. Subtitling costs will be borne by the producer.
The maximum limit of participation is two (2) works per participant.
The duration, in the case of feature films, must be between 65 to 150 minutes, and in short films it must not exceed 25 minutes.
The registration deadline is Monday, February 27, 2023.
The selected works will be announced on March 3.
EXHIBITION
All the selected films will be screened online, in person and for free. The applicants authorize that the virtual projections can be made, through the digital platform chosen by the Festival; with prior registration and password at a time established during the days of the Festival, without geolocation restrictions.
Those responsible for the films selected for any section undertake to send a minimum projection file in 1920 x 1080p, without any exception, at least one week before the Festival opens.
FINAL PROVISIONS
The organizers will notify their directors and/or producers of their inclusion in the competition and the screening dates. Once the acceptance of a work and the section of the Festival in which it will participate have been communicated by the Selection Committee, said work cannot be withdrawn before its projection in the contest.
The directors who are selected will be able to present their film at the festival.
The selected copies will be part of the Festival archive and may be exhibited without profit as part of its promotion, prior communication to its directors or producers of the film.
Registration implies full acceptance of these rules.
