Денежные призы: 7,500€
AWARDS AND SELECTION
A jury composed of industry professionals will select the winning films for the Official Selection across its various categories.
The “Martín Cañuelo” Audience Award will be determined by the votes of the audience attending the screenings, alongside a jury made up of representatives from various local cultural groups and associations.
The awards will be presented at the Festival’s Closing Gala.
1. OFFICIAL SELECTION: Feature Films
Feature films of all genres that are Spanish productions or co-productions and have been released on or after April 1, 2026.
All feature films in the OFFICIAL SELECTION are eligible for the “Bronze Fawn” (Cervatillo de Bronce) for Best Fiction Feature Film (€3,000 prize), the “Bronze Fawn” for Best Non-Fiction Feature Film (€2,000 prize), and the “Martín Cañuelo” Audience Award (no cash prize).
2. OFFICIAL SELECTION: Short Films
Short films of all genres that are Spanish productions or co-productions and have been released on or after October 15, 2025. Short films in the OFFICIAL SELECTION are eligible for the “Bronze Fawn” for Best Short Film (€1,500 prize), the Cinema Córdoba Award (€1,000 prize), and the Cinema School Award (consisting of a free filmmaking or acting course at the IAEC training center—valued at €700—or support for the pre-production and production of a short film).

2. Official Selection – Short Films: duration between 5 and 20 minutes.
* The festival organization reserves the right, at its own discretion, to exceptionally admit short films longer than 20 minutes and feature films longer than 120 minutes.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
All genres are accepted.
Films that were submitted or selected for the previous edition will not be accepted.
Participants may submit as many films as they wish.
Works must be submitted in their original language. If the film was shot in a language other than Spanish, it must include Spanish subtitles embedded in the image.
The premiere date for feature films must be April 1, 2026, or later.
The premiere date for short films must be October 15, 2025, or later.
FEATURE FILMS
Feature films applying for the OFFICIAL SELECTION must include a Spanish production entity in their credits.
Preference will be given to films involving an Andalusian production or co-production company, and to those that hold their premiere or pre-premiere within the framework of the festival.
With the exception of commercial theatrical releases, films must not have been previously screened at other festivals, showcases, film series, or any other public screenings within the province of Córdoba.
The organization will cover travel and accommodation expenses for one person per project. The director, producer, or one of the lead actors or actresses from the film is required to attend the screening. Failure to comply with this requirement means that while the film may remain part of the program, it will be excluded from the competition and will not be eligible for any cash prizes.
If selected, participants agree not to screen their work in the city of Córdoba until one month after the event, unless it is a national theatrical premiere. Films produced or directed by individuals who are part of the CINEMA26 team for the current edition are not eligible for the festival’s competitive sections.
Acceptance of these terms and conditions is a mandatory requirement for selection.
SHORT FILMS
Short films included in the OFFICIAL SELECTION must be Spanish productions or have a Spanish director.
Films must not have been previously screened at other festivals, showcases, film series, or any other public screenings in the city of Córdoba.
Short films competing for the CINEMA Córdoba Award must meet and provide proof of one of the following requirements:
1) Filmed, in whole or in part, in the province of Córdoba.
2) Directed or produced by an individual from Córdoba.
3) Produced by a production company based in Córdoba.
Short films competing for the CINEMA School Award must meet and provide proof of the following requirements:
1) The director must be under 25 years of age.
2) The director must be from Córdoba or reside in the province of Córdoba.
3) The director must provide proof of their affiliation with an educational institution or school based in the province of Córdoba.
At the appropriate time, the organizers may request that the production companies of short films competing for the CINEMA Córdoba or CINEMA School awards provide "making-of" footage (at a minimum resolution of 1080p) for inclusion in the festival’s recap video. Attendance at the screening by the director and members of the short film’s technical crew is mandatory for the film to be included in this category and to be eligible for the cash prize.
Preference will be given to films that hold their premiere or pre-premiere at the festival. If selected, participants agree not to screen their work in the city of Córdoba until one month after the conclusion of the event.
Films produced or directed by individuals who are part of the CINEMA26 team for the current edition are not eligible for the festival’s competitive sections.
Acceptance of these terms and conditions is a mandatory requirement for selection.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
To participate, you must register via the online platform FESTHOME, submitting your film under the appropriate category.
Registration is free of charge. The submission deadline is October 1, 2026, for feature films and short films participating in the Official Section. Short films competing for the CINEMA School Award (CINEMA Escuela) may be submitted until October 15, 2026.
The Organization assumes that the individuals or groups submitting their work hold the exhibition rights for said work, as well as the authorization to receive the prize in the case of collective authorship.
In any event, the Organization disclaims all liability arising from any breach of this condition or from any resulting claims.
SELECTION
A selection committee, composed of industry professionals and members of the organization, will be responsible for selecting the works that will form part of the program.
The organization reserves the right to supplement the festival program with additional films—beyond those submitted through this call for entries—should it deem appropriate. Selection decisions will be announced starting October 20, 2026, via email, and subsequently published on the official website of CINEMA26 – 5th Film Week: www.cinemacordoba.com.
Selected films (regardless of their designated section) must be submitted for screening no later than October 31, 2026. They must be provided as a digital file using the H.264 codec, with a bitrate between 30 Mbps and 50 Mbps (progressive scan) and a minimum resolution of 1080p. If a downloadable copy is not available via FESTHOME, the organization will request it via email.
Along with the selected film, the following information must be sent to the email address "sessions@cinemacordoba.com":
● Two film stills in digital format (300 dpi, JPG, maximum file size 1 MB).
● The film’s poster (300 dpi, JPG, maximum file size 1 MB).
● The film’s poster in maximum quality, suitable for large-format printing for display at the venue entrance.
● Awards received (only the 2 or 3 most significant ones)
Films included in the OFFICIAL SELECTION are eligible for the following awards:

If a film wins an award, those responsible for the film must be present at the festival’s Closing Gala, which will take place on Thursday, December 3, 2026, at the Teatro Góngora.
The person accepting the award must be the director, the producer, or one of the lead actors. Failure to confirm attendance at the Closing Gala will result in the automatic forfeiture of the award, which will then be granted to the next highest-rated project.
The Festival will cover travel and accommodation expenses for one person per film, provided they do not reside in the province of Córdoba.
Participants authorize the Organization to use film stills, photographs, and excerpts from the films—as well as any other material provided to the Organization—for dissemination across any communication or promotional medium, with the aim of promoting and publicizing this Festival. Documentation and materials submitted for selected works may be used across all promotional and advertising media for the event.
AWARD RECIPIENTS AND PAYMENT PROCEDURES
Awards will be paid to the individual or production company listed on the entry form, provided that the winning film was submitted through this official process. Prize money will be issued via bank transfer, subject to the submission of an invoice where applicable. Awards are subject to all relevant tax regulations.
AUTHORIZATION FOR USE
Representatives of selected films included in the program grant RECORD: Professional Association for Film and Audiovisual Arts of Córdoba (the association organizing the event) the right to screen their films during the festival for non-profit, cultural purposes.
CONSENT AND PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
Participants consent to the processing of the personal data provided in their entry application by the association RECORD for the purpose of managing registrations for activities and events. This processing is based on the participant's consent, legal obligations, and public interest.
