THE FESTIVAL

LA MIRADA TABÚ aims to encourage artists and creators to present their own perspective on the concept of "taboo"—a broad and diverse theme that encompasses dreams, the unconscious, mental worlds and the ghosts that inhabit them, mystery, magic, as well as untold realities, the unspoken, "the laundry hanging out," in professional, emotional, family, and vital contexts. The idea is to explore this through a multifaceted lens, as complex as human thought itself: carefree, humorous, dramatic, dreamlike... always with respect for all ways of thinking and through creativity.

LA MIRADA TABÚ extends an invitation to bring to light each creator’s unique and non-transferable world, which—as we have seen throughout the history of art and cinema, through great names in world cinema—connects with the deepest, most unknown, and elusive aspects of the audience’s imagination.
